This is the last podcast of 2022! I’m so excited to share what I learned with you about completely trusting your intuition, plus 3 things you can do to energetically close out 2022 making room for an amazing 2023.

Some of you who have been listening for a while may remember that around this time last year I completely shut down a launch. My 2022 included starting the new year sick which forced me to really lean into my intuition to rebuild my business from the ground up.

The way I was running my business was not sustainable and the intensity with which I was operating was not in alignment with my nervous system.

There will be times when your intuition does NOT make sense. I hope my story helps to inspire you to follow your inner compass and also take the time to review your year with the 3 tips I’m sharing to see what has gone well.

Welcome back to the Aligned and Unstoppable Podcast. I’m your host, Emily Aarons, and this is episode number 418.
And the reason I wanted to leave this episode to be the very last one is because I wanted to paint a full spectrum sort of hindsight view of my whole year. And I wanted to give you some ways that you can do the same thing in yourself and in your business as well.

Part of why I wanted to do this episode in this way is so that we can start to validate ourselves and our own intuition. Because I know a lot of people are here because, you know, you want to be able to tap into your spiritual side in your business, you want to unlock your intuition, and you want to use that to help you grow your business in a really soulful way.
And so I love doing episodes like this where I can pull back the curtain so that you can kind of see how my brain is working and see what I’m doing in my business that you can start to do the same thing.

So I’m going to dove into a little bit of a story and then I’m going to finish up the episode with 3 very simple action steps. Okay, so first and foremost, the time of this recording is December 2022, and I wanted to take a moment and reflect on what’s happened this year. And if you’ve been a podcast listener for a while, you may recall last fall of 2021, I had a launch that was going actually quite well. I was putting out a challenge that was meant to help you to create an email list. And the reason why I created that challenge was to help people understand that was sort of the foundational part of beginning that business growth so that people could see that they could accomplish that. And then the next step was to invite people into my Align & Activate Mastermind.

Well, what happened was at that time I was realizing something was feeling off and I couldn’t quite identify what it was. And I really enjoyed doing the Mastermind, something I had been doing for a couple of years and had been successful at filling it really easily. Most of the calls that I had with folks who were interested were really just simple and straightforward, and people were ready to go. And I did a great job of attracting people who were at that stage in their business who were ready for that mastermind.

But something felt off to me. And when I finally identified, I was no longer in alignment with that offer. It took a lot of kind of energy and dedication to kind of understand why.
And sometimes when we’re in that place in our business, where logically we can’t find why, because logically it would tell me, okay, well, if you continue with this launch, it’s going to result in a large amount of revenue, which, by the way, for me last year it would have helped me to hit $1 million in a calendar year.

And for me, that was a huge goal of mine, you know, so my ego was like, why would you stop now? You’re going to hit that number and everything is going to be great. And from that monetary standpoint, it was a great choice and it was an easy choice. Like I said, it didn’t take a lot of energy and effort to launch and to fill it and to move on and start holding that space for folks. But something inside of me, my intuition and my alignment were saying, no, no, no, no. And so I went with that.

And that is truly what I want to impart on you, is that sometimes energy is speaking loudly, your emotions, your feelings, your body. And I’m not talking about fear that’s driving me to stop doing it. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about it was very clear it was out of alignment with what I needed to do at that time. So it took a lot of energy to talk to my team about it, to kind of pump the brakes, to cancel the launch and to re-organize myself, my team at that point and at the end of last year that also resulted in and shifting my team members around and that was a really huge thing.

So I was both not doing a huge program that I had been doing for a couple of years. I changed my team members around and I was heading into the New Year in 2022 without so much as a plan because that had really been my plan and I was kind of like, Ah, I’m here, I’m here for it. I don’t know exactly what’s happening, but I feel like I can use this time and energy that I now have back and use it towards something else. And I’m not exactly sure what that is.

So I want to pause there because at that point I was fully functioning on faith and intuition and my body’s alignment of saying, no, that’s not it.
And I actually don’t know what the next puzzle pieces yet. So I want to just highlight that for you, because you might be in a similar situation ending your year or during the year at some point where the nudges are kind of undeniable. But you’re like, well, so what’s the next step?

And for a lot of folks, you need to know what that next step is in order to feel safe and secure and confident in that next move. And so for me, I didn’t have that next move. I didn’t have the next play. I didn’t know exactly what that was going to look like for about a month or so. And so when everything shut down, I actually went through quite a significant grieving process with grieving the loss of team members, with grieving the loss of this program, and all of a sudden realizing how much energy I had personally dedicated to holding space and holding this large container for so many people for so long, it didn’t occur to me how much I was doing until I stopped.

And so all this energy was like, oh, my gosh, I didn’t even it didn’t even dawn on me what I was doing and how much energy was being dedicated to this. And so there were so many internal things happening. And then in January, I got sick, I got COVID. It shut me down for a couple of weeks, basically. And on the last day that I was like at my rock bottom, so exhausted, just couldn’t get out of my own way. And I reached out to one of my team members at the time, and I was like, listen, I’m in a dark place. Like, I know this is not your job to uplift me, but I’m just in a heavy, dark place and I’m scared and I just don’t even know what I’m doing. And she kind of gave me a little bit of, you know, you always figured out it’s going to be okay. And I know it’s part of it is just because you’re not feeling well. And the next day I woke up and I did two meditations. They are now on my website for free because they were that impactful for me. I wanted to give them as a resource for other people.

So I created this two-part meditation series called The Abundance Power Duo. I listen to these exact meditations. But I did these two meditations back to back, something that drew me in to do these two back to back.

And it was almost like somebody just opened up this new part inside of me that was ready to receive. And so what I received was quite literally and I know it sounds crazy, but I got all of the details for my IEA certification, the Integrated Energy Alignment Practitioner training. And up until that point, I had thought about, you know, training people in my in this like modality that I do, but I really didn’t understand like what my certification would be.

And what I realized that was like, oh my gosh, it’s been in front of me this entire time. But I didn’t realize it. And I got literally the entire format, the details, and I got the how it’s going to function. And I got like all of it in one meditation session and I wrote down furiously, I got it all cleared, and I was able to put enough information together to be able to offer it. In the summertime, I took my first group through the certification. I created 20 modules plus so much back stuff that I worked on it with my team member Amanda, that she helped me to facilitate the group to get the back end, to get all the paperwork, to get all the criteria together that they had to pass in every single week. Every single detail was put together.
And so here we are at the end of 2022. It is clear to me now that the reason last fall, at the end of the season, coming into the December season, why I had to stop doing everything I was doing. It’s because this program, the IEA certification needed to come through me. And I wouldn’t have the time, nor would I have the ability, the capacity energetically, because I was holding so much space for other people and other projects. And I was busy, busy, busy, busy, busy doing so many things.

I actually didn’t have the ability, the capacity, the bandwidth, the team members to be able to put this through all the way at the best of my abilities. And so my soul, my spirit said, no, shut it down. This needs to come through. And it needs to come through now. And so while I didn’t actually know that that was coming, I had the faith inside of me that said, you know, something is pulling me in this direction. I’m just going to go with it. And so now that that program, the IEA certification has come through me, everything else is starting to become crystal clear.

Everything that I’ve done in my business in the last six years, up until this exact point, is it’s like light bulbs are turning on like, oh, my gosh, this is why this was created. This is why that was created. There’s a perfect, clear ascension path from point A to point B to C to D to E, and now it all makes sense. Whereas before this certification I had some wonderful programs and products and services and everything was good.

But now with this in place, it gives me all the pieces of the puzzle in the place that they need to go. And that makes it clear for myself or my team and my community. So now I can see clearly that what I had been doing up until this point was very good. And I’m not going to say what I did was crap because it wasn’t. It was awesome and it was the best of my abilities.
But I also know myself and I know for the last few years, even in running different programs like that mastermind that I was running and even in running other programs like my Phenix Mentorship, I knew there was this part of me that wanted to be really taken seriously as a healer and as a business coach.

But instead of really leaning into the healer side of myself, I was leaning more into the business side of myself. And so I was sort of doing myself a disservice. I wasn’t able to fully serve to my highest potential until the IEA certification came out, and I really identified how much knowledge I have. And I know it sounds very arrogant and it’s not meant to be arrogant, but I’ve been doing energy healing for 23 years. That’s more than half of my life. And I had gotten to the point where it was so natural and it was so easy and so effortless to read energy, to feel energy, to clear energy for individuals and thousands, sometimes tens of thousands of people simultaneously. It became so easy for me. I took it for granted.

And so what Spirit was saying was, listen, you’re doing the world and yourself a disservice by ignoring this part of you that is so, so talented and an expert, and there’s nobody better. And so what you need to do is actually lead with the healing and merge the business. And what IEA does, is it allow me to do both of those things. But what it’s really specifically done for me and I didn’t quite know this going into it, I didn’t expect it. But what the IEA certification has done is helped me to realize that my ideal soulmate client has evolved with me. And not only that, it’s asking me, my soulmate client is asking me to go deeper with them.

And so that instead of speaking to female entrepreneurs as a wide net, I’m speaking to coaches and healers, this deep, narrow niche of transformational practitioners.
And so you might be one of those transformational practitioners or you might be on the fringe, or you might not even consider yourself a transformational practitioner in the traditional sense, but you’re wanting to use your intuition.

And so when I can deepen my message of saying I’m here to really help transformational practitioners, coaches, healers, therapists, to help those people to build a profitable business, everything starts to tighten up. And when it tightens up, it becomes clear. And it wouldn’t have become so clear had I not been able to shut down all of the different pieces to get this clarity. And also, now that I have this clarity, now, my message is more potent, more magical.

Everything that I have touched, whether it be the Business and Soul Alignment Experience that I created last January and now I’m going to be rolling out again this coming year in 2023.
Q1, I’m going to be hosting the Business & Soul Alignment at least three times that I’m fully planning. That’s a free event, and it’s helping you to understand how you are aligned or not aligned in your business. We’ll have the link in the show notes if you want to check out the next upcoming date that is directly in alignment with Mastery & Ascension and Mastery & Ascension is directly in alignment with IEA, and IEA is directly in alignment with the PHOENIX Mentorship, because part of what happened with the Phoenix Mentorship this year is I realized that I needed to come back so that I could help those at the top who’ve hit that level of success.

But in order to hit that six-figure or seven-figure mark in their business, you’ve had to sacrifice yourself, your health, your relationships. And in doing so, that pulled you out of alignment.
So Phoenix is really, truly meant to be that rising from the ashes so that you can serve with full vitality, with full alignment, serving From that place of ease of alignment that is how you catapult your business forward. And so for me, it was like, oh, my gosh, mind blown. Everything is making sense. And it felt like relief. Right? And it also helped me to understand that I have been praying for how to create not just an aligned business, but a sustainable business. And that’s where traditional business mentors have let me down, where they had talked about launching, about hustling, about pushing, about working harder and grinding it out. And for me, it got me results.

However, at the cost of my own health and sanity, because after a big push and a big launch, I could not function for about a week or two, depending on how much I had exerted.
And what I kept telling my team members year after year. And I felt like I was, you know, just like complaining, which was like, this is not sustainable. These launches require me and my energy. And if it’s not on me and my energy, it falls flat.

And what that tells me is that this is not a way to create sustainability year after year unless I have to put all of this effort out into the world. And it’s not that I don’t want to put that out there in that way. It’s that that intensity and that level of which I put it out there did not work for my system.

And so you might also look back at your system and say, hmm, that resonates. Maybe there are some parts that are off with me and your nervous system is calling out.
And so some of the things that I want to share with you here, I want to share the three tips for how you can do this as well. But I want you to take inventory of your nervous system right now. We all are under tremendous stress, anxiety, strain, depression. We’re carrying on a load of stuff, whether it be just from this year or beyond. And it starts to express itself. And again, this is how I realized the Phoenix mentorship steps in. It has been able to help process this and to get you back to your natural state of alignment. So notice how stress and strain have been expressing themselves right when we have ongoing, never-ending unrelenting stress as business owners. It takes a toll, right? It physiologically starts to affect you where your adrenals are releasing cortisol in your body. They’re going through fight or flight. And you have this response happening all the time, right? It’s firing. It’s firing, it’s firing, it’s firing.

And when your body doesn’t have that place to go, oh, wait, everything is safe. I’m safe. I’m not being chased by a lion in a tiger. I can calm down my nervous system. I can start to release some happy hormones and all is well. But then we wake up the next day, or we get an email or we get a message or we get whatever is happening. It is firing us up again and it’s activating us in a whole another level. And the other part, which is sort of subtle, is that during those launches that I mentioned that take a lot of energy from all of us, not only are they unsustainable, but they are also moderately or severely traumatic. So why don’t you just feel that for a second? Do I have any residual trauma from recent or past launches? That trauma stays in our cells, in our body. And so the next time we go to do the thing, our body is like, oh, oh, oh, alert, alert. And so what that energy can do is actually sabotage your launch. You know, it can take you down from having success from, like, a clean slate. Right?

Or even going into it, you have that fear alert response and that energy gets put out there into the world like that. So we have to understand energy happens before form. And so if you’re looking to have this monumental launch, your energy has to be on point. If you’re going through a stress or a trauma response going into it and throughout it and afterward, that energy is being put into and then then you’re attracting those types of people that are going to perpetuate that kind of energy as well. Maybe it’s a customer who doesn’t pay or they’re perpetually late or they ghost you or whatever is a negative response and they, you know, whatever. So there are all these different faculties that have to get looked at when we think about our alignment and our well-being.

And so this is also part of what I teach in the Business & Soul Alignment Experience is that our body and our physiology are not at all separate from our energetic blueprint. So our seven main chakras that run through our body are in exact alignment specifically with our endocrine system. And so when I talk about, okay, your, your adrenals are releasing cortisol, well that is a direct alignment to your third chakra that is about trust, discernment and what you’re putting out there in the world. Okay?

And so our health and vitality are being affected. So if you’re losing sleep, if you’re gaining weight, if you have skin conditions, you’re losing hair, you have a lowered sex drive, constant irritability. These are all symptoms of your energy system being out of alignment. And I have a feeling that everybody listening is going through this at some degree, which is why we need to have that deep reset.

So I’m going to proceed with three different tips.
So, Number 1, I want you to acknowledge where you were at this point last year, just like I just said I did. And what were you experiencing? So think about it.
Like, what was I putting out there? What was I thinking about putting out there? What was I planning for? What was happening within my health, my family, my spiritual practices, and my business? And just be with that. Okay?

Step Number 2.
I want you to process all the decisions that you made that made an impact throughout the year. So, you know, we have 12 months to reflect on what were the big decisions that really made a blip on the radar. So when I just shared my story, I share the story of when at the end of last year, November, December, when I had that decision that caused me to make a deep change that resulted in these different things happening and aligning for me throughout this year, 2022. So there were other big decisions I made as well, like creating the Business and Soul Alignment Experience. There was other decisions that have been made along the way as well, but I just wanted to share that one. I don’t want to spend all this time talking about myself. So just process the decisions that were really memorable that made a blip on the radar. Okay? Not like, oh, I changed my email provider. Not like that. Okay, maybe that may actually. No, I take that back. Maybe it is changing your email provider.

Number 3, is I want you to validate yourself. And affirm yourself. And what do I mean by that is when I look back at December of last year and like I just shared my story, I actually didn’t know what my next step was. I didn’t know the direction. And it’s only in hindsight that I can look back at my entire year and go, Oh, that’s why I had to shut down my very highly profitable mastermind. That would have led to that big increase in revenue. Oh, it’s so that I could create this certification, which would align all the other parts of my business, which would give me clarity, which would give my customers clarity, which would deepen my work, which allow me to make a bigger impact. Oh, I didn’t know that. It actually wasn’t until even like about a month ago when I was working with my team and talking about strategy and going through the customer value journey of saying, How do they find me? What is the next steps? How do they work with me? And what is that next, obvious next step to get them into like, you know, the higher level? What are the steps that people need to take to reach this next top level? And it was like, oh, my gosh, it’s right there.

The certification is the clarity I needed. And I didn’t know that it existed until it was there. And so validating myself of going, I listened to myself. I didn’t question myself, at least not for very long. And I want to affirm that when I listen to my instincts and my intuition and my alignment, when it’s saying something is off, alert, things have to change. They have to change.
I listen to that and I allowed myself to make adjustments and I wouldn’t even call it a pivot because it really wasn’t. But I allowed myself to take the right actions that got me into the next phase of clarity and the next phase and the next phase and allowed me then to deepen work within my membership.

We cleaned it up. We do a ton of amazing work as a team. It allowed me to attract new team members that could help with my vision and catapult me. And actually my team member, Amanda came through that. When I attracted Amanda, I realized, Oh my gosh, you’re exactly the right person with exactly the right skillset. But just I’m not quite ready yet. And when she when I was ready and she did come on board, she helped me to take my vision for the certification into reality. She helped me to bring it into manifest. And I even told her when I hired her, I said, listen, you know, if this all goes well, you know, I think that we have a bright future together and let’s just sort of see how it goes.  And I’m happy to say that she’s stepping in at a higher level now as the COO in the company and helping me to sort of copilot this business into that next stratosphere.

And so I think back a year ago, I had to let go of team members that were no longer in alignment. That didn’t help me to help me feel embraced and that follow my intuition and my instincts was the right move that I realized, oh, my gosh, she is the evidence. Amanda is the evidence of me listening and attracting what is serving me at my highest level.
And so I want to just close with this and maybe just a final tip, which is. When we’re in the midst of it. We don’t feel clear. We don’t have discernment. We don’t have this, like, unmistakable confidence sometimes. And that’s why using your intuition every single day, it builds these muscles. And so we’re doing these little subtle exercises literally every single day.

When you sit and meditate for one minute, when you pull some Oracle cards, when you’re question yourself, when you clear your space before you start your workday, when you listen to your body’s signals of saying, I need to slow down, I need to rest, or this doesn’t feel so good anymore. When we are listening to these messages every single day, then when it’s time for like the big decisions. We don’t have to question, even if the plan isn’t crystal clear, spelled out all the steps A through Z. So I want you just to reflect on the times where you were sitting in self-doubt and indecision and that you perpetuated making a decision for, and you asked everybody else for their opinion.

And so the things that are coming up, like I’ve mentioned a few times, the Business & Soul Alignment Experience, well, first I should start this. We’re kicking off the new year, January 1st with the Kama Cleanse. I’m going to open up the doors to Mastery & Ascension for a few days during that time. In Mastery & Ascension, we are going to do a little reset of the New Year, and we’re going to give you some ways that you can deepen your intuition practice, deepen your meditation practice. And it’s going to be just like a very simple four week. Let’s go a little deeper and let’s catapult us into that next level of intuition in alignment.

January, February and March, I’ll be doing the Business & Soul Alignment Experience. In April, for those who are in the Integrated Energy Alignment Practitioner Training, we’re doing an in-person retreat training and really a really deep session. In May I’ll be leading the Phoenix mentorship on our retreat here in Massachusetts, and then sometime in May or early June will be reopening the doors to the IEA certification. And that certification has a few different levels, whether it’s that beginner initiation level where you’re just starting to get those first four modules understanding energy, understanding intuition, spiritual tools. That’s an amazing place to start and at the same time will be open up the doors to those who want to go into the certification.

And the certification is the first and only energy-based training with a profit guarantee. And so what I’m saying is that I’m giving you literally all the tools, the energetic healing tools, the business foundational tools and all these things combined. How you do this specifically, right? We’re doing this unicorn thing, right, the business as well as the energy. And I’m teaching you how to facilitate in your own business and part of the program you are actually required to charge for sessions. So you are literally making money even before you’re certified and I’m handing you clients month after month. It is an incredible program my students have gone through, have just blown me away with their abilities.

I am pleased and excited to be joined by my friend Whitney McNeill. Thanks for just laughing along with me.

That’s fine.

And I brought Whitney here today because she is a fellow business owner entrepreneur who is wholeheartedly guided by her intuition. And she helps to teach other spiritual folks how to use their intuition in various ways. But before I chop up your bio, I would love for you to introduce yourself and how you got to this place and today here on my podcast.

Well, thanks for having me first off. And it’s always fun to talk with you and talk with your spirit guides and my spirit guide and who knows what’s going to come through. So I love working with spiritual and ambitious souls who really want to live their purpose through their careers. And I truly feel that the way in to do that, to save so much time and to feel aligned, is through your intuition and working with your guides.

Years back when I was really young, I started to see spirits and I could not make sense of what I saw. I mean, it was so vivid that I actually had my parents check for footsteps in my room because I swore that there was a man there. Good news it wasn’t a human person, but bad news. I still didn’t know what I was experiencing.

So throughout the years, I became really interested. I was really open. And then at one point, Emily, I got so freaked out because I saw a woman with red hair in a pink shirt sitting on the edge of my bed.

And I screamed out loud, Your dad go to the light. Like, I didn’t know what else to do. And from that point on, I shut off my skills. I shut off my intuition. I just didn’t have anybody to talk to help me understand it.

So years went by, I got way out of alignment, went down the wrong path, lived my life based on what other people thought was best for me, not paying attention to anything I wanted to do. I didn’t have confidence in myself and all that.

Then it got to a point where I was in a health crisis and my aunt, I believe this was her intuition, said, hey, we’re going to take you to this place in Arizona for alternative healing. And I went I had Reiki sessions, I had shamanic healing. I opened up my energy. I saw other practitioners talking to their spirit guides and creating a positive impact in the world.

And my health changed so much so that when I went back to my doctor, I told him about what I experienced. And he said, you need to learn how to do this for others. I was like, all right, that’s a slap in the face. Like, go to the event and here I am.

So I wanted to be able to teach and to help other people understand how to talk to their guides without the fear and also understand how it comes in for them. Because just because I saw spirit, doesn’t mean someone else will see. They might experience it through feeling or knowing or in their body or hearing. And that, in a nutshell, is what I like to do and why I do it.

I really love that. And even when you share that story about the redheaded woman. Like my whole body just totally lit up. I was like, this is so significant. And everything in me was like, ha! And so, you know, you said you went and lived your life. But I know for me, I did healing for a very long period of time. And there were some periods that I did it more on the side that I was working a quote unquote real job. And, you know, did that happen for you, too, or did you just go straight into your healing career?

So I was still working a full-time job and I hated it. I really did. I was working like 10 to 12 hours. And I knew with my entire being that I wanted to do something in this realm, in the spiritual realm, and help others. But I didn’t see anybody else that started a business like this, so I kind of didn’t know how it was going to happen. But of course, my spirit guide, it’s led me to people, led me to opportunities, led me to situations. So I actually started my business part-time. So I would work my 10 to 12-hour job. And then I had rushed over and drive to my office 30 minutes down the road, like eating dinner in the car to do my healing sessions or to do my readings. And I loved it. And then I’d also do that on the weekends. Now I got to a point where I was very exhausted because. I was there…

you’re working 900 hours!

Exactly. And I had asked my guides. So one of the things when you really work with your guides, I said, hey, please create these opportunities for me because that’s one of their main jobs, so please create more opportunities. I really want to do this full-time.

My family wasn’t really supportive of it. I mean, they loved me. They were just fearful. I think that that might be the case with most entrepreneurs, but for me, especially in the spiritual world, it was like, I don’t know if you can do this, Whitney. And I just really leaned into my guides and I said, tell me, just kind of take over when I need to quit.

Emily, I walked out of my job, drove the car, never came back. I mean, it was just like one day my body kind of took over and I was like, I got to go. That is not how I would ever recommend to anybody to quit a job. I mean, and that’s really not my personality. I would want to give people notice. and  I would want to leave on good terms.

So here’s what happened when I did that, the company that I was working for actually said, well, we still want you to work for us, but from home for the rest of the year. So I still got and come from there, and my part-time business really went full-time literally in a couple of days. It was like, I don’t know if the Google algorithm changed or what happened, but honestly, it’s your spirit guides telling you this is your time.

Because I have this limiting belief – nobody’s going to see me for appointments in the middle of the day and they’re only going to see me on evenings and weekends. That was just a limiting belief. 

I just stopped doing evening and weekend stuff. And then, of course, my business has pivoted and changed. I only do teaching full-time now through classes and programs, but it’s so beautiful when you really work with your guides, especially in your business, when you’re making this very pivot, you’re making big life changes. The guides are like, we’ve got you. You just trust the process. It’s just us who wants to second guess it and say how it’s not going to work when it really will work.

Totally. So let’s give it to guides because you know, to be able to just essentially speak to your guides and say a prayer, like please just like make this transition work is like great in theory for a lot of people in practice it’s not so clear and cut and dry. And I feel like we have very similar personalities in that way where like leaping really isn’t such a big deal. But for a lot of people who take calculated risks and who are maybe like risk averse, it might seem like, yeah, no, that’s nice for you. But instead, I think I’m going to overthink it for a little while.

So can we talk a little bit about how to make that transition to connect with your spirit guides a little bit more clearly for people who are new at this and to maybe define like what is a spirit guide for them if they’re new?

Yeah, absolutely.

So a spirit guide is a guide that you have this contract with and you can acquire spirit guides for different reasons.

I’m going to just talk about the personal spirit guides we all have. So generally we talk about 2 to 3, we talk about 2 to 3 guides. They guide us, they teach us and they protect us. And this is in your personal sector.

Most of the time we have these guides before we incarnate and we have negotiated a contract, or perhaps they are a spirit that we’ve known before and we need to finish out some sort of karma or something of that sort.

And so they’re guiding us through our life. They help us with those feelings and knowing they will also teach us. They will also guide us to teachers, literally, who you need to learn from in classes, and they will take you on astral visits, which a lot of people think our dreams. So it really it’s often your spirit guides taking you to learn something or taking you to process something.

We also have protector guides as well, when I found out. Out that I had a protector guide, like, whoa. My mind was blown. Oh, I don’t have to be fearful of whoever is coming to talk to me because my protector guide will help filter that out. So those are our main guides.

When we work with our guides, their main goal is to help us stay aligned to our path and our purpose. And this can be with career, relationship. All of these things are helping us raise our vibration, become lighter, learn more, and grow.

I always tell students that work with me. I would love for you to just take 5 to 15 minutes every day to talk to your guides. And the number one reason why people don’t connect to their guides other than fear is they think it takes too much time.

They think that they have to go on a mountain somewhere or meditate for an hour or there’s a stage in their room and everything has to be perfect. And I’m like, no, it doesn’t.

I mean, ideally, yeah, you can clean out your energy in your room, but like, you can still talk to your guides for 5-15 minutes.

Yes.

Then what I’ll say is tell your guides all the things that you’re grateful for. Thank them. Ask them any questions that you might have and tell them what you need help with. Then clear your mind and then let the messages come in in those 5 to 15 minutes through your intuitive language to seeing, hearing, feeling, or knowing.

And then when you continue to do this, you start recognizing your intuitive messages more. You start forming a rapport and relationship with your spirit guides. They start becoming on the same page with you.

And so many times, Emily, I hear people say, Oh, I don’t need to talk to my guides. I just know what I need.

I’m like, Oh, no, no, no. Like red light. Let’s turn around.

And one of the examples I’ll say is if you had an assistant that you never talked to, but your assistant saw that you drink coffee every day, your assistant might ask you, hey, what do you need help with? What kind of coffee do you like? And you don’t answer your assistant. Just going to try to give you the coffee, but you might take your coffee with stevia and with oat milk and your assistant like I see some sort of sugar and I see some sort of milk. So here’s cows milk and three packets of sugar. It’s not gonna necessarily the same.

So talking to guys is really, really imperative. And when you do that, you form this bond and this relationship, and it is like they’re old friends.

So for folks who are starting out too, well, I have a side question. I’ll get you in a second because it’s not like not leaving me alone.

But the question I want to start with is for folks who are new to using their intuition, new to speaking to guides, you know, we just you mentioned your intuitive language.

So seeing, hearing, smelling, sensing, knowing. And for the folks who, you know, I’m very clairvoyant, so usually things come faster visually and I attract a lot of folks who are claircognizant and so they have that knowing and so I might describe something for you with the same answer.

Yes, yes.

So like it’s really challenging for my clients and I think probably yours too of being like I can say the words like, Oh, I’m seeing, I’m watching, but you’re like, I’m not getting anything except you are. Because, you know, like, you know, like, you know. But those claircognizant folks are always like, let me check the data. Why do I know this? I don’t know why I know this. Hold on. I don’t think I know that.

So any advice that you could give the folks who are listening, who are claircognizant? Because I know you’re here.

Yes, I know you’re here, too. So I talk about this year, which is starting out, which is hearing the empath, which is feeling and the channeler that just knows and experiences and their body. So with a channeler, I want you to give yourself permission that you don’t have to see, hear or feel. And one of the main problems that channelers say they have is are not getting like an external validation. I just know things and it sounds like I’m talking to myself where a thought just popped into my head or something of that sort.

So one, give yourself grace. So, you know, I don’t have to have it come in a specific way. I’m going to love the way it comes in specifically for me, and I’d love for you to move your body.

The more you can move your body, whether it’s through walking, whether you want to dance for 5 minutes and just kind of get your energy going, a breath work that’s going to help you feel more confident and get your energy to flow.

And sometimes when I say clear your mind and meditate, it might not work for you. Go walking like move your body pace back and forth, you know, as you’re listening to the meditation, that’s okay as well. Those things help get the energy flowing.

But some of the great exercises that I teach channelers is writing. So what I’d love for you to do is when you’re talking to your guides, you can ask a question and then just write down the first thought that comes to mind. You can also do this with talking if you have a voice memo app and then just say the words coming out of your mouth and don’t try to make sense of it until later. And this helps your body release the energy and also release the slow.

Now, another thing that you can do as a channeler, is to use your body as a pendulum. So you’re really connected to spirit. So ask spirit a question such as, you know, show me what it is in my body when it’s a yes. Show me what it is in my body when it is a no.

And then you’ll start to understand more of the language coming through in your body. But taking care of your body, letting the energy go is important.

And then one last thing I want to share. This can feel so disconnected, but it is. Let’s say that you have a decision to make. And you are tired. You’re like, I can’t get. I am slow today. I just can’t get moving. I’m just feeling kind of, um. That’s an indication. That’s probably a no. Even though you might feel like it’s not connected.

The opposite as when it’s a yes. You might wake up and feel so inspired and energetic, like you’ve got energy going for days. That’s when you know, okay, something’s a yes here. So pay attention to your body.

I remember I was going on a hike with my husband and I was getting ready to walk down the path and my body just couldn’t move anymore. So I’d turn around and go a different path. And at that, I don’t know what was at the end of the other path. I just know my body would not let me do it.

And my body, when I left my job working full time, it was a channeler response. I didn’t see, I didn’t feel or hear. My body just got up and left. I think what the heck is going on with my body?

So channeler responds. But they find themselves Emily, in places that they will say great words of wisdom to people. And the other people go, Oh my God, she just gave me so much inspiration and insight, or, Wow, you just gave me all these ideas. And oftentimes a challenge is like I did, I don’t know. And so, no, that is your intuition coming out. It’s just so innate that it’s hard for you to recognize.

Yeah. And I love what you said about using your body as a pendulum, and I’ve just started getting more into muscle testing, and that is what I’ve been doing with, you know, whether I’m going to be doing this offer or this launch or is this price or this client and using my body.

Because a lot of times, you know, we’ll have that instinctual knowing, but then we can be like, well, and we can convince ourselves to make, you know, him and how about something? But truly, these are different tools that can save you so much time and wasted energy and probably money in the long run when you can just start to tune in right away.

So my side question that just came back up again, is I remember very vividly this one guy who showed up, announced his name, spelled it out severely in capital letters so I could see it and hear it. And then he gave me this like dope slap and then was like, peace come out. And I was like, Oh, okay, that was rude. But also I get it. Like it was very clear message.

And for this particular guide, he shows up and that’s his energy. Like, he just comes in to just like yell at me for a second and then he leaves and I don’t feel like I don’t feel his presence. I don’t work with him most of the time. So what would you say to that? Is that just like I need that doped up when I need it and that’s when he delivers it?

I would if it ever makes you feel uncomfortable, you can always talk to your guides and let them know. But every guide has a different personality. So some guides are super chatty. Here’s my name. This is, you know what it is?

And then other guides are like, names are not my thing. That’s like an Earth-plane thing. Like, I just, you know, you can think of me and when you visualize a symbol or you can just call me whatever.

And also extroverted people tend to attract extroverted guides. Introverted people tend to attract and for the guide.

So whenever I used to do readings, I would love this person. Like, you know, you just meet somebody and you’re like, Oh, I could totally go to coffee with them. I’m really, you know, feeling engaged with them. And then I’d sit down, do a reading and it was like peop, you know, like, sure, here’s a message and it’s because they were very introverted. But the more that I would say something and it would resonate, the more they would open up.

So your guides have different personalities and you know, I have guides that even have different accents. I cannot for the life of me try to do an accent. However, when I’m channeling, a guide I might have a New York accent all of a sudden, you know, could never do it consciously but there it is.

Or I’ve talked like I was from Australia, had an Australian accent before and I could never consciously do it. So it’s so interesting to see how they come in and it’s like entering here. This is the message. You’re like, are you listening? Cool. I’m in. I’m out.

Yeah, that reminds me of when I lived in Spain for a study abroad and I started to have an inner dialog that was in Spanish, but I couldn’t understand what I was actually saying inside of my own head. And I’m like, this. Is just so rude on so many levels. I have no idea what I’m actually thinking right now. So maybe one of my guides was cctually a Spanish-speaking guide and I just hadn’t quite gotten there yet.

Yeah, you can have guys that come from different countries that will help you translate as well. I used to do readings where the person I was reading could not speak English, and so they would bring in a translator. And so I would say something and we would go back and forth. And a lot of times whatever I would say would answer the question of the person that didn’t even get it out yet. So you can also bring in a spirit guide for a translation.

But what’s even cooler? I don’t want to say cooler, but another thing that I wanted to say that I think is cool is that you also have guides for your business and you have guides that will help you and marketing guides, it’ll help you in PR guides that will help you with creating your offers.

And we tend to think of our personal guides and teachers. Then when we get interested in intuition – we get different guides, we get interested in mediumship – we get different guides, we start our business – we get different guides. So oftentimes we just attract them when we need them.

Many of us healers have healer guides and I would only see one of my guides. And he had this stoic energy. He never talked to me. So your guide at least talks you like I would never do arguing, and I would see him vividly. When I was doing Reiki sessions, I was like, fantastic. But I didn’t get that rapport. Other guides, super chatty.

Yeah, that’s great. So let’s sort. Of open up the conversation around mediumship, if we could kind of segway into that, you know, when you talk. Well, actually, I’m going to hold off on that. I’m getting a wait.

So with that, with the specific guides for particular areas in your business, I’d love to talk about that.

And there’s in my Oracle deck, the Angels in Your Biz, Oracle, there’s cards that say, you know, Marketing – your guides will create a strategy and like literally written on the card and social media or soulmate clients like they’re all here waiting.

And it’s very much that conversation about your guides are here to do this work for you so you don’t have to do the heavy lifting. You know, it’s something I talk about and teach my students around, you know, connecting intuitively, opening up as a channel, asking, what is it that they require listening to me from me today? Or what’s the message I need to write about in my emails? Would you say that that’s kind of the same thing of talking to your guides, or do you specifically call in? I’d like the email marketing guide or how do you how do you do?

I like how you’re doing it. I think you can get great insight. What can be really helpful is when you’re having those meetings with your guides in that 5 to 15 minutes.

So a lot of questions I get, you know common by name or you know what I say and I’ll say if you know their name, great. But what I do is I say, I welcome my personal teachers and guides. I welcome my business guide and then I’ll talk to them a little separately. So I’ll talk to my personal guides.

And then when I turn my attention to my business guides, I’ll say, Hey, this is what’s coming up. This is what I’m thinking about launching. These are the offers I’m considering. Can you give me insight on each one?

And then when I’m sitting down for an email or I’m sitting down for something, I’ll ask for any guidance coming in from my guides, and I’ll ask specifically for someone to help inspire me to write.

So for me, generally speaking, it’ll be like a storyteller guide usually when I’m doing emails. But if you feel like you’re struggling in your business, then call on a guide to help you with that. So if you say, You know, I’d really love to be on more podcasts, well, ask for PR specialist in your spirit guide team and they’ll start to connect you or inspire you to reach out to someone or find the right podcast picture kind of situation.

So you’ll start to see some of those gaps that you might feel are missing or that you don’t feel very strong in personally. Well, obviously we can fill it with someone that could work for us in our business. But talk to your spirit guides first, because they will give you some insight and help guide you to that person that needs to work on your team or help give you some training on a different area.

So I do like to talk to each one specifically, but that’s okay. If you don’t, it just comes in really handy when you start to notice.

Hmm. I’m feeling like I’m not getting as much inspiration in this area. Maybe I need to call in a new guide.

So I also I’m kind of hearing if you have a more linear, measurable, tangible goal, like I want to get on 50 podcasts this year or whatever that number is, you can reach out to your PR guides and say, can you help align me to 50 or more? You know, the aligned podcasts for me?

Yes. Absolutely. And talking to your guide about.

I will even get a little bit different with that and say I really want to focus on connecting with 50 podcast host that are in full alignment. So I’ll even go a little bit more with it in detail what I’m looking for.

Really specific…

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just so that they are on that same page and then talking in counseling with your guides about, you know, what, what did we need to do here? What lesson are you trying to teach me here? Let’s say you have an income goal and a lunch or for the year and it’s not a hit. Then you can ask your guides, What am I missing? What did I not pay attention to? Or Why did this happen? What’s the lesson here? And don’t forget to celebrate the wins.

You know, sometimes we get stuck in the negativity plays of this didn’t work out versus your guides are saying, hey we’re trying to tell you to pivot or trying to, you know, put this other offer in front and you kind of been neglecting it because you are so hard core and completing this plan. So I think pivoting is really important to you. And I have talked about that with launching in our business, the Spirit Guides

Totally. Well, I love to talk about that because. You know I know that both of us are very much in that same realm of like if it doesn’t feel good, you literally cannot force us to do it. You cannot.

And you were just sharing with me before because, like, you had to make a strong pivot in one of your recent launches and it does impact your team.

And so for the people who maybe don’t have a team yet or who feel really divinely guided to create this offer, to create this launch, and they’re doing what they thought they were supposed to do. And it doesn’t work out the way that they imagined that. I feel like there is like a real sweet spot here because I think that a lot of people get, you know, less than results and then they internalize it and feel really negative. And like, I thought I got this right. Why didn’t it work out? What advice would you have for folks who are in that predicament?

Yeah. So one, channeler, usually need to experience something before they decide if they were going to do it again.

I know that this could sound like a general concept for anybody, but channelers need to actually go through the process to see what feels good while they’re doing it, more so than serious impact.

So one, that can be an experience that you really needed. Another lesson is, a lesson.

Yeah, it’s a lesson that spirit wanted to see if you would do it, if you’re ready to put yourself out there. And what’s really interesting is, even though the number of people that you had in your mind was like your goal spirit, might be saying, Oh, no, we connected you with the right people who are then going to help refer your program and expand to a mass following or whatever it is. It’s more of there is a bigger reason behind it and there’s more lessons that you need to know.

So sometimes I’ve had a launch, didn’t go like I was hoping it would go, but spirit saying there’s more here, there’s more benefits coming down the road from this launch. You were guided for a reason and you just kind of let your ego perhaps try to pick a number of why it needed to work.

And one of the things I’ve noticed, too, is that we get too focused on money coming in through a certain launch or a certain way versus letting money come in through all the different ways that spirit showing. So spirit can say, you know, you did this launch and now people are on your email list to buy your higher ticket programs. And it’s going to be the same amount that you write for.

Right.

Just wasn’t in the lower ticket program, but it’s all coming through the same funnel. So they might go, what’s wrong with it that we get be what you ask for?

So you’re making me think of a couple of questions here. So one is yesterday I was hosting a class and somebody said I oftentimes manifest money through my husband, but I have a trouble when it’s directly connected to me in my work.

And for me, I was like, well, listen, it’s coming to you. It’s still coming to you. But I think there’s also something there that you can look at your container of how much you can actually tolerate receiving. If you can’t tolerate receiving and you’re manifesting that money and it’s coming in like. You know, it’s like it’s going to come in one way or another. Like if there’s a crack, there’s like, Oh, there it is coming in over here.

So I don’t know. Do you have anything more valuable to share with this? Like with this thought? Because I’ve had clients do it’s like we start working together. Like my goal is to make $10,000 a month and then all of a sudden this inheritance shows up like, well, I met my business. I’m like, so you got the I don’t know, we complained about $10,000 right?

I want to say the same thing with I would like why are you resisting receiving?

But also it could be kind of this block of I feel bad receiving money through my business when I’m helping people or feel like a bad person if I personally receive money in it and it’s an energy thing where it’s more of, you know, I feel better if it’s coming in over here and maybe you feel like a bad person not to receive money.

So I think it’s a deeper block, but also on a spiritual realm, I do feel that when that happens, the spirit’s also wanting you to look at the relationship with your husband of, okay, what are we together supposed to do? What lesson together am I supposed to learn here?

And this can also be a beautiful lesson that the two of you are great manifest together. So how can I incorporate my husband into this manifesting practice and do this even more?

So, it was interesting because my husband and myself, we kind of noticed this theme where I tend to be the better receiver and he’s the better giver. So if we work as a team, we can just amplify more of our intuitive abilities, more messages, more signs as well. So it can also be a little deeper of a, Oh, what’s the karmic connection or spiritual connection, or how can we better utilizes energy to work in our favor, which is really nice.

I love that. Do you work with specific goal-setting guides? Are there goal-setting guides that you work with to establish, like those numbers?

I’ll talk to my business guides.

So I’ll talk to my business guides and teachers and say, hey, you know, I would really like a business specialist, kind of like a COO, my spirit team for my business. And we’ll talk about what’s working, what’s not working and what the goals are.

But what’s worked really well for me is instead of focusing on the numbers, I’ll focus on the people. So I’ll say, you know, I am so excited to help and impact X amount of people in this program and I’ve just noticed a different shift and it tends to make more of a powerful connection because I’m connected more into my purpose rather than the money it’s going to bring me. So it’s almost like a little mind trick, but it’s also like connecting with the energy that that matters and why I’m doing it for my purpose. Not that money’s bad. It’s just gives a little bit more energy there.

Yeah, I feel the same exact way.

When I have an impact goal of humans. I have little tricks that I’ll do for myself of, like, holding an actual space for the people. And when I get into running numbers and calculating like how many people with what product and how much equals that, and I go, good. Like I get weird and I tell my team I like, just don’t make me get weird. Like, let’s just focus on the impact. And that to me is like exponentially lighter for me as well.

Yes.

Yeah, but just as far as goal setting, it’s just exponentially easier for me. So let’s, now I’m getting the okay for let’s, let’s talk about mediums. And before we were recording, I was like listen Whitney, I am like basic level not a medium. And I’ll say like, well, I’m not a medium, but. Something’s coming up. And for, for me, it was like years ago I was in this class about, you know, different types of intuition. And we were doing, oh my gosh, now I can’t think of what the word is. Oh, wow. It’s totally. When you hold an object.

And it’s like a cometary.

Thank you. I was like, it’s like science, like, cometary.

So I had never done it before. And we’re in this class of like 25 people in person and we’re kind of paired off and she has us close our eyes. And then the person we’re working with, like, puts the thing in your hand without looking at it, you just kind of feel the energy. And I was like, I was a natural. And at one point, one of the teachers was like, I’m literally watching all of the energy, like, flowing here, and. And I was like, Wow, I didn’t know I could do that.

And I felt like that was a real easy way to connect with past loved ones for me. But when I’m in session, I will – a nd from that, I sort of learned that when I feel and sense, and experience past love. Once I start to taste metal on my tongue, on my tongue does this weird thing. And so like it’s almost like I’m licking a battery and I’ll be in session or talking to somebody, and all of a sudden my tongue will start doing a thing and it’s like, Hold, please.

And I’ll sort of have to, like, shift my attention of like. Is, is there somebody here? Hello? And I’m like the words like I could do so much better if I had maybe more training, but I haven’t.

So, you know, I guess for people who are who don’t consider themselves mediums or who maybe are a little bit freaked out about what a medium is, can you kind of shed a little light on what a medium is, what a medium does, and kind of open up that conversation?

Yeah. So I have to tell you a funny story before I talk about mediumship, it’s related.

Yesterday I was drinking a drink out of my water, just clear water, crystal glass. And as I’m taking a drink, I’m smelling and tasting wet dog. I don’t have a dog anymore here. And I had this overwhelming feeling to reach out to my friends. So I reached out and I said, You know, I really feel like your dog is in spirit. And she used to love to go in the pool with her dog was like, I really feel like your dog’s here. And she had lost her dog a couple of months ago. Well, I didn’t hear back from her for several hours. And she said at the time that you sent me that message, I was helping my other dog transition into spirit. And it was such a beautiful message because that dog had come in to help her other dog at the same time. So we do get messages through tasting and smelling, but it seems weird, right?

Oh, yeah.

But anyway, it’s a message. So I just wanted to say, if you’re out there listening and you’re like, I got some weird stuff going on, you know, it definitely does happen. And Emily, I think that’s really great that you get the calling card of duty. We’re in a loved one in spirit here. We’re ready.

So mediumship, a lot of people think mediumship is just talking to loved ones in spirit, but it’s not. So mediumship is talking to spirit guides, talking to loved ones in spirit as well. But generally speaking, the way I teach is you can talk to your loved ones through your guides and they can give you information about past, present, future, health, career, relationship, and whatever’s going on with your family that’s passed or friends.

The key definition of mediumship is the act of delivering spiritual messages to others. So the key is that you need to relay messages to somebody else.

Intuition is the act of connecting to loved ones and spirit guides but for yourself. Mediumship will be giving others.

So a lot of people in their business, when they say Whitney, I want to talk to my spirit guides to help my clients to give more insight to what’s going on. That’s literally mediumship. Like you’re giving a method right there.

You’re watching my head being blown away right now. So what I’ve been doing is mediumship because I’m delivering messages for my clients. Okay, okay, okay.

Okay, the difference is, like psychic, for instance, is you connecting to somebody’s mind. Mediumship is you talking to spirits and delivering messages from spirits to them. So yes.

And we think of mediumship as the formal way, and you can definitely do it the way that I built my business and I went through two and a half year mediumship training and people can still be mediums without training.

Or you could just, you know, talk to spirit and give messages while you’re like, I have friends who get messages in their counseling sessions so they know what next questions to maybe ask to better help people. So that’s how it can flow into with mediumship.

But when someone gets really interested about their loved ones in spirit, which I’m going to hone in on. Or by the way, of pets and spirit, that’s the thing to.

You just need to ask for a loved one in spirit specialists. And your loved one and spirit specialist will go out to find the loved one in spirit that the client wants to talk to and will help you.

And generally speaking, that loved one should be able to come in about 85% of the time in a reading or in a message. They can’t come through all the time for other reasons, but most of the time they can. If you wanted to talk to pets in spirit, you can get a pet spirit specialist.

So there’s all these different guides to help you. One of the things I really feel guided to share is a lot of time mediums have trouble delivering the message. So like I’m seeing a red dot, you know, and a purple triangle, and I’m feeling this and I know this and I don’t know what it means.

So ask for a delivery specialist. Your delivery specialist is like the coordinator and organizes all the messages. So it comes down the pipeline or down the conveyer belt.So you’re like, I’m seeing this and this is what it means, and seeing this and this is what it means. So the more spirit guides that you can work with, the more understanding that you’ll have. Of course, you don’t want to ask for guides that you don’t need, but it helps make things more organized, and the delivery specialist can give messages that are even hard to deliver. So if there’s something that needs to come through and you’re like, Oh, I don’t know how to say this, they can help you with the delivery of it, too.

I love that. And I’m also hearing just, you know, how specific you’re calling in these guides for these specific tasks, which makes complete sense as well. I really love that.

Think about it like your team in your business. You know, you have somebody for this and for that. And in your personal life, you have a doctor that you go see, a friend that you talk to. You have a teacher that you’re learning a certain thing from.

So in spirit, the thing is, I kind of demystify the spirit world.I think a lot of people want to be a little bit more powerful. I know I’m the same way. I’m like, It’s just me. Just something. It’s fine. It’s spirit. So you can work with that.

So I think with your mediumship team, the three things I want to say is loved ones in spirit specialist, delivery specialist, and ask for a coordinator to help you with organizing all the messages to come through and to organize, especially if you’re going to be giving readings or messages in your business. Those are three guides that you probably want to ask for if you don’t feel like you already have. But sometimes we already attract them.

I’ve always been interested in astrology, so when I started giving readings, I’d be like, Who’s there’s a Leo in your life that you know is a male around this age range. So it was just really interesting to see how that came through.

Huh? That’s so fascinating. Well, this has definitely been insightful for me, knowing that apparently when I say I’m not a medium, I’m totally full of it because, in fact, I’m giving information. But that’s okay. That’s fine.

I also love the story that you shared about the message from the dog and something that reminded me just recently a friend of mine just had a baby and one day I was thinking of her.

She had come over like a few days prior and I was just thinking about her and I said, You got this, you are amazing and you so got this. And the next day I got a text message from her. She’s like, Oh my gosh, you’re so intuitive. I was literally in labor at that time when you texted me. And I was like, wow! I’m like, and so like, it doesn’t get old. And I’m always delighted to have those confirmations.

But I will also just say to people, we don’t always get those confirmations and it doesn’t invalidate the messages that we get.

And especially like through my certification, this is part of the process of teaching people, you know, just trust implicitly if you are getting that pink dot and circle and whatever you like. Okay, so maybe I am having difficulty right now, but maybe that does make sense later for them. Or maybe it will click a little bit later for you and you can give a more clear answer.

I was just watching my students practice sessions from over the weekend and one of them said, you know, the one thing I want to share with you is before the session, I got this really strong image of a maple tree and all the leaves were bright red. And I’m not really sure what that says, but and then she just went into this full channeling and it was like, listen, lady, like, you know, I’m gem credit.

And then her client on the other side, was like, well, first of all, I have maples in my house and I love Maples and it’s my favorite time of the year when they turn this color, blah, blah, like.

All this validation. And it’s like, okay, can we just like stop the I don’t know, is like this, it’s okay. You got this. And I think I’m sure you see that with your students too is like, I’m not sure what this means, but. Ba ba ba ba ba. And they just open up this incredible dialog that is so like you can feel all the energy with it.

Oh yeah. And the great thing is when all the energy comes out, the reason a lot of my students feel like they don’t trust it is because it’s so easy. Like they’re expecting it to be hard or they’re expecting it to be this booming voice that comes down like. Hello, this is what it is. It’s like, No, just go with it and go the flow.

But I did want to share a tip. So if you’re out there and you feel like I got the pink dot and I know I don’t know what it means, what I’d invite you to do, especially if you’re a channeler, but I’m going to invite you to instead of kind of squinting up, because that’s what happens when somebody is like, Well, I don’t understand that. What does it mean? Or You don’t understand it?

Your brain tries to make sense of it, and when you’re giving messages, you really need to come from a clear mind, like you’re mind needs to be clear before you’re doing mediumship or any kind of intuitive message.

So I’d invite you to have the thought of when I feel, What does it mean? I’m going to relax even further. I’m going to take a deep breath. I’m going to slouch in my chair. I’m going to kind of I don’t want you to imagine because that involves your brain.

But what I’m going to tell you, it’s like spirits bringing you the grapes, feeding you the grapes. So it’s like, I’m going to relax. I’m going to clear my mind even more and I’m going to get the meaning of it. And spirit likes to piece together things, so you might see the pink dot, but then all of a sudden you know the meaning or you hear the meaning or you feel the meaning, and just invite yourself to relax even more. Because a lot of times our mind likes to snapshot, and then that’s when all the trouble starts. Like maybe this or you know, maybe it means us.

I was doing one of my first readings and a psychic fair years ago, and I was talking to this woman and I saw two plus two equals four. Then if I try to figure that out, I could have come up with a lot of meanings, like you’re a math teacher or an accountant or whatever. And so I just relax, let my mind be clear. And the knowing came out and it was living situation. And I said, okay, so there’s four people in your house, but there’s two couples that live together. And she looked at me like I had spied on her with a video camera. I was like, Yes, so really know that your symbols have meaning behind them. Just relaxed into the meaning.

Well, hello there, listeners! Warm welcome back. This episode is for you if you are wanting to start a new career in the field of healing, or if you have an existing transformational coaching or healing practice and you’re really wanting to turn your passions into profit.

So these are three of the most common statements that I hear in my world. There are so many more, don’t get me wrong, there is so much basically toxic healer shaming that I hear as a healer who has a successful business. Now, I’m only going to share three of them. There are so many more, and I’m sure there are things that we’ve also heard internally. But here are the three most common ones when you go into what they are, I’m going to talk about a little bit where they came from, plus how we can work through them. All right.

So the first one is “I just want to learn the sacred art of healing. So, yeah, those people I’ve met you“. I know many of you.

And so if that’s truly like you, honest to God in your soul, have no inkling to ever use healing in a professional capacity. You can just turn this off right now, like save your time. This is not for you, okay? But I hear people see this and, you know, it’s total bullshit, you know that they’re saying it, but you’re like, but if someone paid you, like, 100 bucks a session more, I’m sure you wouldn’t be crying, right? And I think I’ve also worked with people.

I had this one business partner and she was a Reiki practitioner and she used to do these free Reiki clinics every single week and they were always really busy. But she could never book clients to pay her full price. And it was like, I don’t know why she puts so much more effort into giving her services away. And like, let me just say, there’s a caveat. There’s nothing wrong with giving your services away. There’s nothing wrong to offering free or complimentary or taste or whatever.

I mean, how you can see, I guess, thousands of hours of this podcast, thousands of hours on my YouTube channel. I mean, I’m giving away my stuff all the time. If you’ve ever done Intuition Week, it’s not to say that you should never give away things for free. That’s not what I’m saying here. I’m talking to the people who just say they’re only in it to learn the sacred healing art and they want nothing more. But, you know, it’s not true.


Statement number two
, “it doesn’t matter if I make money or not. I just want to help people“. This is on that same realm of like what?

So you’re telling me that if somebody were to pay you $200 a session, you would say, no, thank you. What’s most important to me is that you receive healing today, and I think that’s a total lie. And I just – it makes my skin kind of crawl because, what I’ve learned so deeply, and now it’s like part of me is that part of that big transformation that you’re actually wanting to help people with. It has to come through a energy exchange.

If you’re not charging anything, it needs to be a testimonial. If you’re not charging anything, it has to be something in return for that transformation to actually stick, okay? So if you’re undercharging, you’re discounting yourself, understand that transformation is becoming diluted and it’s not what you’re wanting to help people actually got.


Third statement
is “knowing I can help someone and heal them is all the payment I need”.
Again, NO. That’s not all the payment you need. You need to keep the lights on. You need to afford food. You need to have internet. You need to have a phone, right? That’s not the only payment you need. And if that were true, you would not be working a job.

If you were just independently wealthy, doing this work as your side hobby, you would probably be running a nonprofit. You’d probably be going to charities, but you’re not. Let’s just call it what it is. It’s a total B.S. You want to help heal people, but you also do require payment, okay? We live in a world that does require finances. Okay? Unless you live in the woods, I don’t even know how you’re getting this podcast right now. How are you doing this?

It matters. Money matters. The exchange matters.

So where it’s coming from? Not all of these things derive from this location, but lots of it does – which is witch wound.
What is a witch wound? Witch wounds could be cellular memories passed down. It could be a past life memory. It could also be generational curses or traumas.

And so there are a lot of us out there who maybe in one lifetime or maybe somebody in our lineage was a healer, a mystic, a witch, a medicine woman, whatever, a seer. But at some point, they were ostracized. They were maybe beaten, killed, burned like there is – we know the history. Right?

There are so many things that have happened to people like us, long, long time ago. And so those cellular memories and those past life traumas and the generational curses, they are kind of just baked right into us. And when you don’t address where these silly thoughts come from, you just think that they’re your thoughts.

So like I said, when you are undervaluing yourself and so what I used to do, when I undervalued myself was I would make an offer and I would say, would you like 30% off of that? But what I was actually saying with that message was, would you like 30% less healing today? And so we can laugh and be like, of course not. I want 100% healing. But what I was offering was basically saying, would you like less of me?

And so, you know, I want you to know that money does matter, but it also matters where these actual thoughts and these statements are coming from. And so when you’re really ready to step up your game and like I said, the beginning, like this podcast, is not for you if you’re not looking to make a profitable business, if you are, keep listening. You know, this podcast is just scratching the surface of the real work that’s required to actually get up and serve at your highest level, to charge your worth, to increase your rates, to attract people to your business.

Welcome back to the Aligned and Unstoppable Podcast. I am ecstatic to dive into this week’s podcast, really addressing the number one mistake that coaches and healers make.

And, I know that there’s probably a hundred more mistakes that I could list here, but I wanted to focus on the first one. And it might be something that has slipped under the radar for you that you haven’t been taught about, that you haven’t focused on, or even if you have a little bit of awareness about this, that you’re still not able to correctly take care of this problem.

So, I’m going to first, before I reveal what the problem is, I’m going to first tell you what the attributes of it are. So you could be undervaluing yourself and underpricing yourself. You could be attracting the wrong clients or not enough clients.

You could potentially be leaving your work day or after client interactions feeling exhausted, depleted like your soul is sucked out of you and like you need to take a nap. Or you could have basically not enough energy or feel almost resentful when people are booking your calendar on your time because there’s just so little energy that you have to give. There’s a lot more issues that come up, but these are kind of the top ones.

So what is the number one mistake? The number one mistake is that you are not effectively clearing your space, clearing yourself before, during or after your sessions.

And I’m not talking about lighting up some white sage or spraying your air with some room spray. What I’m talking about is actually creating a safe container for yourself as well as for your clients.

So this is something that I go into very in-depth and very specifically through my Integrated Energy Alignment Practitioner Training, which depending on when you’re listening to it, we are taking applications right now up until November 11th.

So let’s talk about how you create a safe container. So first and foremost, when you go to your office, whether it be your home office or you go to a place for business, you’re walking into all sorts of stuff.

And if you imagine you are wearing a white gorgeous pantsuit, okay? And so when you walk into this space to work, you’re coming to the table and you’re walking through like maybe cobwebs and little color explosions and stuff that’s kind of just in the environment. So by the time you actually sit down at your desk, you’ve already got some schmutz on you, as maybe my grandmother would say, okay, you got schmutz on you. And so you sit down for your call and your session begins. Well, you’ve got whatever happened to you before the day began.

So let’s say you interact with people driving on the road, family members, past clients, emails, whatever social media you’ve absorbed. You have all of that. You’ve already got that on your pants suit now as well. So now your pants suit, instead of being gleaming white, you’ve got all this junk on you. And then you’ve walked through the space and now there’s more junk on you. And then when you open the first call and you’re not clean, your space is not clean. That person on the other side is going to feel bad.

Now, I know not everybody’s extra sensitive the way that I am, or maybe that you are. And so they might just not have a word for it, but it’s just a feeling like when you walk into a room and you’re like somebody just talking about me in here, or somebody’s just fighting here like you can’t put your finger on it, but there’s just kind of an energy in the air.

And it has been scientifically proven that people can pick up on energy within about 3 seconds of walking into a space. So the same goes for your virtual meetings or in-person meetings. And so when you’re not clean and clear in your space and in your person, your clients will pick up on that.

And so what happens when they pick up on that? They’re going to maybe withhold some information, not fully open up, because they might not feel completely safe and secure in the space. Like, I don’t know, somebody else is here, especially if you’re saying back-to-back-to-back clients.

So let’s say you have three in a row. Well, by that third person, guess what’s all over you and all over the space and all over your zoom meeting and all over your treatment space, everyone else’s stuff. Because at some point through those sessions with you, people’s stuff is coming up to the surface to be worked on, to be healed, to be cleared, to be coached on.

And then what happens with it? What happens when somebody reveals why they have been stuck in a position in a bad relationship, stuck not making money, stuck or having gone through pain or trauma or heartbreak or whatever it is. They’re bringing all that stuff into the air.

So guess what’s now all over you too? If you are not aware of how to clear it, it’s now all over you.

So I can hopefully I’m painting a good picture for you and your imagination to understand that it becomes like layer on layer on layer of stuff that’s now in your field and on you.

So it’s no wonder why the end of that call. You’re like, Holy moly, I like what? Just hit me. And you have like, no more energy. Like, I need to go get some more coffee, right? Or I can’t wait to have a drink later and get this over me.

These are some things that are very normal reactions because you have this weight, it’s not yours. It’s not yours to take, nor is it yours to have to deal with. Okay.

So that’s also part of codependent coaching where you might be taking on other people’s stuff like, here, let me take that pain for you. I’ll just put it on myself for a little bit so that you feel a little better. We’ll go on about our day. Look what a good coach and what look what a good healer I am. Now, you feel better, don’t you? And you’re just over here sinking into the chair going, Oh, I feel terrible. Okay, so it’s actually not doing anybody any favors.

So if by the end of the day you’re feeling depleted and maybe resentful, like, oh my gosh, all these calls, they’re picking up on this.

So what can result is they do not want to come back to sessions with you. Maybe you had a package or maybe you just had one. That one I like I don’t really want anymore from what that person gave me. Thank you.

And it might not be you. You might be internalizing and thinking, Oh, I’m not a good coach, I’m not a good healer, or having heaven help them. But really, it has nothing to do with your skill set, has to do with your space.

And so if your container isn’t safe, people are not opening up, they’re not being able to get the deepest transformation work through you. And likely they’re not going to want more of that. Because when they keep feeling this feeling, it’s like it doesn’t feel better. It doesn’t feel like their stuff went anywhere and was transmuted and like they’re off to the next thing. They’re like, it’s still here, it’s still on me.

And actually now I feel like I’m almost picking up on other people’s stuff and it could even be your stuff.

So, I’m just going to point the finger just a minute, because, I know for myself I’ve gotten to like back in the day when I had a brick and mortar, I went to sessions and sometimes I had, you know, personal stuff going on. You know, like I was worried about money and I kind of brought that into my session or I had a neck pain or back pain and it brought that into my session and I didn’t clear myself. And the next thing I know, my client is saying like, Oh, I feel better. But I also I had this like neck pain and I’m like, Oh, oh, my God, oh, my God. Like, I, I know energetically that’s mine. And I know I didn’t do a good enough job of coming to the table clean and clear.

Okay, so this is what we do unconsciously.

Like, we don’t want to do this, but like we’re kind of doing it if you’re not clearing yourself, okay? So you’re not in a nice safe boundary. So conversely, let’s just like clear the energy out of all of that, right? So, you know, if you’re not clearing your energy, what could be happening to you and to your clients?

Conversely, when you do clean your space, you do clean yourself not just before the beginning of the day, but I’m talking about before the session. During the session, which for those of you who know how to deeply clean yourself and you’re not doing it, this should be a point of awareness to go, Oh, my gosh, I realized what I should be doing now.

During the session, you’re not only cleaning them, you’re cleaning yourself, you’re cleaning your space. It’s like multiple things that are happening simultaneously so that the space remains a sacred healing space. I go over all of this in my first four modules of the IEA Certification.

And so when that space is nice and clean and clear, people come to your calls. They come to your meetings, they come to your coaching sessions. And it’s like the second they begin talking, it’s like waterworks come their deepest stuff is coming right up to the surface for you to move. And it’s almost as though they know that this work is going to be so significant. So they’re bringing it all up for you to do something with it.

And so when you can transmute it, then they’re able to actually have better progress and a deeper transformation that’s longer lasting, that gets better results, which leads them to go, Oh my gosh, this person is the best! I want more of that person, and I’m willing to invest in that transformation again and again and again.

So it brings you repeat, awesome soulmate clients. You see how that works? They feel safe, they feel taken care of, and they know that you’re going to hold that space for them to have this incredible experience.

And guess what else happens? By the end of the session, instead of feeling tired and depleted and feeling like you could use a little pick me up, you’re going to be out in the backyard doing cartwheels because you feel so energized because instead of giving your own energy from your own reserves, you know the correct way to channel the energy to come through you.

So you get like a little drink off the fire hose, but you’re not getting blasted with it, nor are you giving away as though it’s like a that’s like a cup that you’ve just poured all of the contents of the cup out because that’s what you’re doing if you’re not clearing yourself. You’re saying, okay, you have 100% energy tokens to start my session. I’m going to just pour out now. Or, you know, you could also be doing you could be rationing. And that just really, I just really that’s another thing. You could be rationing your energy.

Oh, my gosh. I remember back in the day when I used to see clients for massage. I had a max of five people and if I knew I had somebody on my schedule and multiple people who needed deep tissue work, I would be rationing my energy throughout the day so that I could make it to the final person with a little bit left in the tank.

O. M.G., I haven’t thought of that in so long. Thank you for reminding me of that.

So you could be withholding some of yourself in those sessions. Okay? So see, there’s like a multitude of problems that might be adding up. And if you have any of these coming up throughout your work, throughout your day, in your energy field, in your clients, this is a realization. This is a huge, huge mistake.

And the good news is you can easily correct it when you know how to clear yourself and you know how to clear space effectively. And I’m saying, again, it’s not just about lighting some sage around and like hoping for the best. You have to know exactly what you’re doing in order for this to be effective, long-lasting and know how to feel these like, subtle shifts.

So when you go, Oh, the air is feeling a little funky again, let me clear it again without any of your customers having a clue that you’re doing this work because it’s that routine, you know, you feel it, you sense it, you clear, and they can keep going on without skipping a beat. That is how effective clearing your space can be.

So I hope that this has helped you to bring to your conscious awareness where you’ve been maybe leaving money on the table or not attracting enough of the right people. You know, if you’re feeling so depleted day in and day out, it’s going to be this sort of subconscious reason not to want more clients. And not to raise your rates because your body’s like, Oh, hell no. So your system is like, No, no, no, I don’t. I’m more of that. The universe is like, Got it. We’ll give you no more of that.

And that’s the vibe you’re putting out constantly. No more, no more, no more. I can’t handle it. It’s too much. I’m tired and depleted. I don’t like this. Bad, bad, bad. And so that is what we’re putting out there. So that is what you’re getting back in return.

Either little or no clients or the wrong ones, or you might feel really heavy afterwards or even during the session. Like you’re in a session like, Oh my God, is this still happening? And we’re still in session. How many more minutes on me?

So I hope this was helpful for you and you can shift out of making this mistake into learning how to clear your space, clear yourself to create a sacred container.

Because here’s the deal. There has never been a time in history, as far as I know, that is more ripe for transformational work. The fact that it’s not a taboo, weird woo woo thing to get healing sessions. The fact that we know globally we’ve all experienced this trauma and we’ve all been trying to sort our lives out from the aftermath and find what our new normal is.

And a lot of people, through the great resignation, are trying to find a new them. And so how perfect as a coach or as a healer, could you show up for them?

You could show up perfectly to support them in ways that they truly need. To help address anxiety, fears, depression, feeling of scarcity, feeling of confusion, to give them more clarity, to give them more peace, to give them more calm, to give them more confidence through your work. But you really can’t get to that final transformation if you’re not holding a clear space for them or for yourself.

Welcome back to the Aligned and Unstoppable Podcast. I am your host, Emily Aarons.

Warm welcome! Thank you for being here and thank you for all of you who’ve been dedicated listeners for years and welcome to the new folks who are here.

So I’ve decided to record this week’s episode as a Facebook Live because there are sometimes I just feel called to share these insights and get it out there, to the masses. As fast as humanly possible. I don’t know. I guess it’s in my nature to do this sometimes.

When I do this as a lot of times its very last minute. So if you just happen to be on email or happened to be on social media, you might catch me. And I usually do these live streams on Facebook or on Instagram, so I’m going to dove right into it.

The topic of this week’s episode is the seven reasons why you’re not fully booked and how you might be sabotaging yourself. So I’m going to be going through a list of seven reasons and the things that I’m seen very frequently with clients. I’ve also had these things happen with myself, so this is not just what happens to other people elsewhere. I’ve also experienced this myself.

In addition, I’m going to close this week’s episode, just really talking about some ways that we can self-sabotage. And these are things that are like, you know, under the radar, they’re sometimes unconscious. And so we might be knocking ourselves out of the running for getting more customers just because we might secretly having these thoughts.

So you’re going to want to stay till the end and you’re going to want to take notes. Right now, I’m not sure if we’re going to have an attachment to this week’s episode with a PDF. Usually with checklists like this, I like to have that, so I’m just going to be fully transparent. I don’t know yet.

So grab a pen and paper.I want you to write these things down, because this is not only about some great tips that I’m giving you and some things that I see regularly, but I want you to not just take note, but I want you to take action. Okay?

So it’s one thing to know where you might be having trouble and we could call it a money block. We can say, Oh, well, I just have this issue, right? But it’s beyond the money block. And so you listen to this podcast or you follow me on social for a reason, okay?

You are here to make an impact and you also are here to make income, my friend. So you might be a service provider, you might have products.

So let’s dove right in.

So the very first place, the reason why you’re not booked is, number one, you are not establishing how many sessions you have. So I know this sounds so elementary and it is okay, but I see this all the time. So you’re not establishing how many sessions you have. So to get fully booked, you need to know what that even looks like.

So do you have a booking link that tells you there are a specific number of appointments this week? Yes or no. So what’s your exact availability?

So I’m just going to say, for example, and I’m going to talk kind of fast through this, you might want to write it down. Let’s say you have availability Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., but you only do 90-minute sessions or 90-minute appointments.

What does that mean, Emily?

That means between 9:00 and 2:00 o’clock, you should not have free reign to book whenever you want to book in that timeframe. And yes, that sounds really type-A and like controlling. And there’s a reason for that.

Because I know for me, in my experience, when I’ve had availability like that and I didn’t have specific appointment slots, people would be like, you say, when do you want to come in?

And you know, yourself feel like I have the whole day available on Wednesday. It really doesn’t matter to me. I’ll just take them whenever they can come. That is a broke ass decision. That is a broke mindset.

So when you make an appointment, let’s just say for the dentist. When you make that appointment, do they tell you they have the whole day available or do they give you specific time slots and you make yourself available? The latter. So you need to look at yourself in the same exact way.

So you have a specific appointment. If you’re 9 to 2 and you have 90 minutes sessions, you have a 9 am to 10:30, you have a 10:45 to 12:15 and you have a 12:30 to 2. So, that means you don’t have a lunch break and that could work for you or not work for you. For me, I don’t usually eat until like 2 or 3:00. I have a big breakfast in the morning then I just like go hard all day. Not hard. I work from 10 to 3. So it’s not like all day.

But my point is, is like, if I’m taking appointments, I only have certain time slots available every single week.

Why do we only have those three? The 9, the 10:45 and 12:30. Those who are live with me. Why do we only have three?

That is because now I know I have nine appointments per week. If I’m available Monday, Wednesday, Friday and each of those days there’s three appointments that equals nine appointments per week.

Does this make sense so far? Am I talking too fast? I want to go through this quickly because I have a lot to share with you. There are seven ways that you could be not booking yourself and I want to get through all of them as quickly as possible. So if you know you have nine bookings a week available. Now you can understand how to make a goal.

Number two is that you’re not setting goals.

See how they kind of like one washes into the next. So you’re not setting goals. So you might have a goal. Yes and no. Tell me more, Laura. Beth, tell me more. I’m going to keep going, but I’ll come back to you if you can explain.

So if you’re not setting goals, how do you know you’re going to hit your target?

So why you don’t set a goal is usually because if you don’t hit it, you’re going to make it mean something terrible about yourself. I know that because I used to do that crap and it doesn’t actually mean anything terrible about yourself.

On the other side of goal setting, when you make a goal, let’s say your goal isn’t nine people a week, it is four people a week. That’s how I start. I start off five people a week. I said, I’m going to have five customers every single week.

When I start setting goals for myself and I really start to amplify my message in my, my reach set five every single week. So there were weeks when I had zero. There are weeks when I had one. But you know what? Pretty quickly, I was hitting that five every single week and I’m banging my hand right now. Okay.

So I hit that five every single week because I knew what I had to do, who I had to become. What type of gal gets five consistent clients every single week? And then we’ll talk about the self-sabotage in a minute. But this is it.

Yes. It makes sense that I’m not talking too fast. Thank you. Great. Sometimes I get really excited and I just go, like, boom.

So let me know. And this is where you can put the pen to paper. What do you currently sell? How many of those do you need to sell to hit that goal? And we can just call it like that one session. So even if, you know, you have these five appointments, what is that appointment?

And in the workshop at the Intuitive Leadership Series, we’re going to talk about how to create this one stand alone offer that is like your signature offer because a bigger we’ll talk about this in a second, but one of the bigger problems that gets diluted is that you have like too many offers on enough offers.

So not setting goals. So if you have a goal, let’s say it’s fine, let’s say it’s ten, whatever it is for you. How much are you making in those sessions? Okay, so look at that.

Number three is you’re not tracking your sessions or your income. See how they one stacks into the next into the next. This problem, I got this problem and it leads to this problem.

So tracking. Look at your numbers. Why don’t we look at our numbers?

Because they look like shit, and we don’t want to look at the shitty numbers. It’s as simple as that. It’s the same reason why we don’t often look into our bank account, right?

If I open it, I’m going to get that lurch in my stomach. And I’m gonna throw up, or my heart’s going to start pounding and feel like crap because I’m not good enough. I’m not making enough, and I just don’t like any of that. So I’m going to just put my head in the sand. I’m not going to look, you can’t make me, huh?

Do you see how childish that is? It’s not mature, it’s not responsible. It’s not a baller, you know, badass business woman, person, whatever.

So I want you to have your numbers. I want you to look.

So, okay, let’s talk about numbers.

What was your income? You don’t have to post this when you thought you are on live. Okay.

What was your income? Write in your journal about yourself. Just keep it to yourself. What was your income for the last 30 days? Write it down if you want to make a guesstimate. Make a guesstimate. But then literally look at how much income you made in the last 30 days. Do not skip the step.

This is not all. I’ll do it later because you won’t be honest with yourself. I know you won’t because I never used to do that later. I used to keep a record on like a notebook clipboard thing and it was in pencil and I would then put it in an Excel spreadsheet. And that was like my bookkeeping. It was total garbage. And also I wasn’t making any money because I was like, I really didn’t have much to look at, so I just kind of kept it kind of crappy. And then when it was time to pay the taxes and I’d be like, well, it was like kind of maybe probably this all.

And I also did that chair massage gig. Oh, that other person hired me for a private party. Oh, and I also did that other thing. Oh, wait, I should. What was my mileage? We will get into that later. I’m not going to talk about that right now, but you need to understand what your income was. Okay.

So do you have a ballpark number for that? I would hope so. What would it look like? And more importantly, what would it feel like if you doubled that number? Think about that.

This is the stuff that makes your business explode. When I start to get really serious about my business and start to do these different things now, everything started to change. So take that number in double. And what does that feel like for you?

So in my in my business, when I started to look at my numbers, I looked at hitting a big, unrealistic, crazy, bonkers goal, which was essentially to hit $100,000 in my business when for years I had been consistently making like about 12 to $13000 a year. Okay. So in effect, I was having to multiply not just double, not triple, but ten x.

And so thank you for participating, Laura. It would feel amazing. All the other live viewers on here are just keeping quiet to themselves. I don’t know. How would it feel? Can you imagine? Or are you just not even going there because it would feel too damn good? So think about that.

What happens is it causes you to become a different person. Oh, my gosh, I would feel like this. Well, when you’ve made double, like, how do you show up differently? Do you show up more confidently, more charismatically? Do you feel healthier, more full of vitality and energy? Do you have more to give? Do you feel more worthy of raising your rates and charging your value? Like, think about that.

Everything kind of it’s like the big domino, like boom, boom, boom. All of it starts to shift when we start to look at things like this. Okay. Now you had to look at what it would take to create that. Okay.

Let’s go to number four. Not creating upsells and downsells.

So think about the offer that you have. I’m going to take a sip of water, give you a chance to breathe. We’ll all take a moment.

Okay. Let’s think about what you are selling. Is there something else that you could sell that would be complimentary? Or could you do something maybe to get to that big goal a little bit faster with less effort by you?

So if I see a lot of you guys are both service providers and you have products, so you are winning so hard you don’t even know it. So physical products or digital products are an amazing complement to the work or services that you are providing.

So yes, it would definitely feel better about raising my rates. Exactly. Heck, yep. I double where I’m at.It actually hit my monthly goal for this year.

Then what is stopping you, Jackie? Like the only thing is stopping you. Is guess you. So I want you to take this moment.

Think about the thing that you do. Is there something else that could compliment it? It could be a lower price point. Or it could be a higher price point.It could also be something that takes little or no effort by you.

So I’m going to give you a few examples as we move on in just a moment. I think I wrote it in this one. Maybe I just have it my later notes. Oh, I think I might have it in my later notes. Let’s see.

I might just give you some options. Yeah. I don’t think I have it in this section I have in my other notes because this is part of a huge workshop, the Intuitive Leadership Series. We’re gonna do so much good stuff. You are going to love it.

And this is why I’m saying double your income in the next 30 days, because you’re literally if you do these things, you will increase your revenue. I don’t know how else to put it. And this is not an overpromise. This is a truth. Like it will work for you if you do these things. Okay.

So some things are upsells are down sales. So I’ll give you some examples right now. I think I need a little bit of anything.

Hi, Chris. Good to see you.

So an upsell or a down sell and feel free to put your own put your own in if you have ideas.

So you all know I do energy healing, but I also have a whole membership that is full of recorded energy healings and meditation. So an opportunity for me to do a down-sell would be to give or to sell, I should say a meditation, whether it’s a single meditation or a bundle of meditations.

Let’s say somebody come in and working on money blocks, okay? I happen to have a whole bunch of abundance meditations for you. In fact, I have free ones right on my website. If you go to my website right now, you can get two of them for free.

But I do have multiple that I sell at a low price, so that could be an opportunity. An upsell could maybe be. instead of doing one session, you do an ongoing package of sessions. And the problem with that, so I’m not going to let go like crazy on this one right now.

But the problem with a lot of folks who are making packages, you’re only thinking about yourself in your bottom line like, Oh, I could sell one session for 100, but I could sell five of them for 500, you know, like or 150. I could sell five for 500. Right?

You’re going to save them some money. But like who said they wanted that? That’s the biggest problem with that crap. It’s like I used to do that too. I’d be like, Here’s a package. And I never was like, so. And next. It’s like they didn’t want it. So you’re not doing any kind of research to know that that is even what somebody wants. So like, what the hell is the point of having these packages.

Of, Oh, you can have 12 readings. You’re like, Well, who said they wanted 12 readings? Like one person. Okay, we’ll make the packages for that one person. You can offer it somewhere else, but like, is it really something that you want to do on going? What if 100 people bought it, like you’re giving yourself? So what I’m talking about is an upsell that is higher value, maybe more in-depth in a higher price.

So if somebody wanted to work with me, let’s say, in a group coaching program versus 1 to 1 coaching. So they’re getting a whole lot more of me. And the price point is like five times that. You see the see the difference? Or the the down sells could be a complementary if you do tapping, if you do hypnosis, if you do NLP, if you do a recipes, if you do organizing, if you sell a product that they could go with it always, always, always offer that down.

So the more successful I get, the more like me I feel I am. So with you on that, Laura. I am so with you. I love making money and money loves me. And I truly feel like that.

Like, you know, when you’re in a relationship and like things are going so well and you’re in that like, o-oh phase, like, that’s how I feel about money. And I never used to be like that.

This is part of what we’re doing in the Intuitive Leadership series is we’re going to go into the wounds of the money blocks and into that ancestry. And like, we’re going to be digging up some stuff, but it’s going to help you to identify from the unconscious place to the conscious place of what the hell has been going on, why have I been self-sabotaging? Why even stop it myself? And now that I know about it, I’m going to stop it right now. Okay?

So you can really grow so much when you do deeper work and you can heal relationships with money. And there really is a relationship. So it’s like, are you in a functional relationship or dysfunctional relationship with money?

It’s a whole another podcast for a whole another day, but I’m going to kee going my goals. All right.

So number four, five, I haven’t lettered that was silly of me because their letter and I have to figure out what is, right? It’s four. It’s five. My bad. It’s five. It’s embarrassing. Okay.

So five is you’re not creating packages that people want. I literally just said that. I’m like, I’m preaching. You’re not creating packages that people want, mainly because you are not taking the time to do your research.

Again, in this workshop series, we’re going to be doing research. It’s three different classes over a period of three weeks. So you’re going to come to class prepared and you’re going to have some really good data to share with us.

And I will be calling on you. So if you guys are registered, I’m looking at you registered. Be prepared. I’m going to send you some information week after week to say, here’s your homework. I want you to move the needle and do these things. I’m going to ask you for this data that when we come to class.

So, you know, are you creating packages that people want or are you just making bundles of random things? Right.

So the next one is number six.

You’re not doing any kind of outreach, you’re not emailing, you don’t even have an email list, most of you, some of you. Or if you do have an email list, you don’t even email people on it. You’re like, I don’t want to bother them. You know, they sign up for my email list and they wanted a year for me, but I just don’t want to be in their inbox.

Networking? You’re not doing any networking, whether it be virtual or in-person, to get customers to know about you, people to know about you.

And that networking also includes like joining, you know, memberships, joining courses or something with a community or masterminds. You’re not doing the networking thing, you’re not collaborating. So that mic, that could be podcasts, classes or special things that you do with another person.

So, you know, let’s say your your body has a Facebook group or they have a course in a program or they have a podcast, and you’re not pitching yourself to be on it.

Like, Hey, why not? Tell me putting number one in with the live comments, if that’s you, if you’re not pitching yourself to do collaborations, you’re not networking, you’re not doing the outrage that emailing, you’re not DMing people. That’s a big one. You’re not making any connections for how you can serve now or in the future. So, you know, I get people who reach out to me all the time.

Why is this hidden and I’m going to unhide that, that’s silly.

I get people who reach out to me all the time who literally just say like, I love what you do. I cannot afford you. I want to work with you so bad. I just don’t have the money. But I’m obsessed. I’m on your email list. I got your free thing. I don’t want you to think I’m a freeloader, but I just don’t have this. And it’s my life circumstance like that person is telling me. In under a very clear words. I will not work with you today. However, I do love you.

So this kind of thing happens all the time and I’m positive it’s happening to you too.

So this is the thing, right? It’s not only about right now. This is going to be one of my other tips, but people are saying, I’d like to work with you. It’s just not right now.

And so some of you take that at value and go like, I’m worthless. I’ve obviously don’t have anything good. I should create lower-priced things so that person can afford me. Please, God, don’t do that. Oh, okay.

We’re going to talk a lot about that and creating offers that are really in alignment with you and your value and to help you understand that you are the value.

And so I’m totally good if you have a meditation that’s pre-recorded, if you’ve made a cool workshop, I’m going to talk about myself. I’m in a workshop on crystals about five years ago. I have sold that thing easily thousands of times over. I did it for free. One time I opened up a Facebook group and I was like, Hey, I’ll teach this class if you bring your friends into the class.

And at the time, my goal was to bring more people into my Facebook group, because at the time Facebook group works, Facebook groups worked more than they do now. They didn’t have the algorithms. Like they do now. So there were different.

So my goal was, I’m going to teach this class and I’m going to save it and I will sell it at a later time.

Now I do that. It’s a great opportunity for me to do something one time and repurpose it multiple times, because if I sell, even at this podcast right here, it’s recorded on video, I could totally download this video and sell this as a free workshop or as a paid. I mean, I could easily charge $15, $20 for this information.

Are you who are on. There’s 20 people are on right now. Do you find this valuable? And just like humor me, if it was for sale right now, what would you pay for this information? If it’s helpful? Is it getting you to think? Is it getting you to realize what you’re doing wrong and how to do something differently? What value is a bringing to you? And it won’t hurt my feelings if you’re like, I wouldn’t pay for this man, this is sucky. Or if you’re like, No, it’s so valuable. Like It’s. Fine. You can just say whatever here. I just I’m just asking because you’re on live with me.

But my point in it is saying you might have things that are so valuable that you just have stuck and held hostage inside of your brain. And if you were to share it, you can repurpose it and sell it multiple times over. Doesn’t take any effort from you. Okay?

So, what I mean by that is like we’re talking about outreach and classes and podcasts, right? So those things will live on, on and on and on. And that’s, that’s a way that you can serve people in the future. And you don’t have to discount yourself. You can just give them something else.

Like, there are plenty of folks. If I said, like right now. Guys. Who wants to work with me one on one for the next six months, who wants that? Tell me. You want to work with me for six months? Just you and me privately. You can have me in your pocket. I’ll be on Voxer, I’ll be on email. I’ll have your eyes on stuff. I can pull random cards for you. I can channel for up ad nauseum, and we’ll have healing sessions every single month.

And I’ll teach you how to open up your intuition more and how to utilize that to rally maximize your growth in your business. I can do that for you because I’ve been doing this for years and I can promise you results because I know that that’s what I do.

But how many of you are willing to invest in tens of thousands of dollars for that? See, that’s the thing is I am the value, but I can break off little pieces and I can scatter them all over the Internet. Right. I have a little piece here and a little piece there. And that’s what I do is I can give value. It doesn’t have to be all of me and my time and my energy, but it can be something that’s like a wonderful nugget.

Everyone’s saying, yes, heck yes. I love to. Write. Heck, yes. Thank you very much. But also, why? Why would you say heck yes with enthusiasm? Why would you say Heck yes, with enthusiasm?

Because most likely, you’ve been around for long enough to know. I’ve proven myself. I have a track record and I am confident that I’m going to get you results. Okay.

This is why we have to play the long game with our customers. That the person who is ready today is ready today. Sure.

But then there’s people who are like, I’m going to be on your list and hang out with you for the next, like few months or a few years. And then, like, at that time later. Then maybe I’ll buy something. Maybe.

I love that. Give a nugget. That’s all we’re doing, Tracy.

And that’s like, that’s what my podcast is. That’s what social media is all about. That’s what my emails are meant to do. That’s what my mini master classes do.

That’s what my workshop that I’m doing, the intuitive leadership search. That’s an I mean, as much as I can say, I could give you more, which like I told the kids, a three-part series, the Intuitive Leadership series. So it’s three different sessions over the course of three weeks. And I’m going to give you as much value as I can in that short amount of time, and it’s still just this tiny little crumb.

I have so much more to give and share, but what I want to do is make me more accessible. So I give it at a lower price and I can have more people involved. So I’m hoping to just cap it at about 100 people or less.

All right, you guys ready to wrap it up with the last thing that you’re doing that’s making it so that you’re not fully booked and then we’re going to get into the ways that you sabotage yourself. Who’s ready?

Trying to get out of the whole transformation mindset. What does that mean,Tracy? Okay.

And nobody answer me. What would you pay for this workshop.If this was a workshop? Think about yourself as a business-minded person. Like if somebody was done so far about 30 minutes.

So let’s just say a 40-minute workshop that’s going to tell you about where you are blocking yourself, why you’re not fully booked, and the different self-sabotaging tendencies that you might be having. Think about it. Would you pay for this? What would you pay? Be honest. Like, think about that. Think about it right now. I’m just curious what you would do.

The final one. Number seven, you’re not seeing the long game of nurturing. I kind of just tapped on that. Right. You’re only focused on the people who are booking today. And it can take people months or even years to trust you.

Excuse me. That was a good release from you guys. I can feel the energy shift. It’s like, oh, my gosh. Oh, yeah.

And think about your own buying patterns. Think about people who you’ve trusted or bought things from. Like, did you just see them once and you’re like, I’m buying from them the end. Right? Or do you wait to see like, are they proven?

And I’m going to tell you something. Having an online business, everyone is skeptical of you, right? They see you or if you run ads, God forbid, they’re like, are you even legitimate? You’re probably not. It’s phony, right? Everyone is such like they’re so suspecting to like whatever you’re doing. So you really have to show people.

The good news is, if you know what you’re doing and you are the real deal, it will show very, very quickly. Same as if you’re not.

Although I’ve seen people who are like kind of full of it and they still have like mega fans and followers who are kind of hypnotized. And there are also people who use hypnotic language to literally hypnotize their audience into buying, which is another topic for another day. I’m not going to talk about that today.

But I will say this is your visibility and dropping those little crumbs, those little nuggets, the collaborations, the podcast, the videos, the classes, the meditations, whatever tapping scripts, whatever you’re doing are these little trail, this little nugget, bringing Hansel and Gretel right to the cottage, the cabin, whatever that was.

Tracy, you said stress over charging their whole life over 1% needle move.

Yeah, it’s it’s the transformation. But you know what? When you start to understand what you do and how you do it and different from everybody else, it’s going to make that a whole lot easier to communicate.

And that is actually something that we’re going to be talking about in the leadership series is being able to clearly articulate what you do, who you do this for, and why it matters right now. These are the most important reasons that people will or won’t buy from you.

I had this really funny. I was on Instagram and I saw this really funny audio clip and I was like, But it’s like, I don’t know. And it’s like a mumbling and like, this is how most transformational healers describe their work. It’s like gargling gook.

And oftentimes you’re adding in your toolbox. And I use Oracle cards and ice crystals, and then I use somatic body release and pressure point and trigger a da da da. And like, you’ve already lost people.

You don’t go to the mechanic and you’re like, Tell me which wrench are you using? What diagnostic tools do you use? How long is this going to take, for one thing, to the next thing? To the next thing, right?

But we don’t look at ourselves as healers and coaches in the same way. We’re like we need to justify our prices. So we tell them the 900 certifications I’ve just earned, which is why I’m charging 30%.

Undervalue what I should be charging.

I won’t keep going on that one.

Okay, so let’s get into some of the self-sabotage.

So number one and I want you just to drop the number if it resonates. So number one, if you were successful, then who would you be? It’s like you’re a stranger to yourself. Like for me, I was this broke healer or a very long time. Embarrassingly long. Not embarrassing. I’m not embarrassed by I had to go through that so I could do what I’m. Doing today to say to you like, Hey, if I can do this, then so can you.

I mean, I’ve been doing this for 23 years and 15 of those years I was struggling, I was broke, I was barely making it. And so if I can turn everything around. And now help tens of thousands of people all over the world. I think you can too, like it’s possible. Okay.

And I think that’s part of it is an identity shift is like, oh, my God, I’ve always been broke. So then like, who would I be? Well, like some like, wealthy lady? Okay, now, what do you believe about wealthy people? Ooh.

And there’s, like, so much digging and so much that can come up to the surface when you start looking at these issues. This is not just mindset work. This is the energy work. This is also bringing the unconscious or subconscious up to the conscious reality.

Number two, drop a tune if this is you. How would your friends, peers or family members look at you differently if you were successful? Put it to an if you think about like, wow, that hits home.

Like with my friends, you want to be friends. I mean, like we’re always talking about how poor we are. We’re always talking about this. We would have so much, so little in common if I was suddenly, like, super wealthy and successful. Hmm.

Number three, what would be expected of me? If suddenly I had tons of money? What if I had so much money and free time? What in the actual world would happen? You know what would actually happen? That’s number three. What would be expected of me?

Number four, drop four if this is you. Can you even maintain success long term? So that’s another one, like. All right, so maybe I can have, like, one thing sell. But, like. Every month, every year, like, consistently, like, that’s a whole nother bag of worms. That means I’m going to be. Tracking my bookkeeping. That means I’m going to be tracking numbers. But if I’m going to have a team. What the hell? I have to make them enough money to have a team. That paid more taxes.

Okay. And number five, drop a five then. What if you become so successful that when you make a mistake, everyone can see you?

You’ve built this social platform. You know, first of all, everyone’s complained. You don’t have enough followers. My reach isn’t getting good. No one’s viewing me. Yeah, well, what if you suddenly did? What if you had a million followers and a million people on your email list? And then you’ve messed up. And then it was everyone seen you doing a face palm? Right.

We’ve all seen this happen to celebrities. They make a mistake and then everybody just tears them apart. And it’s now easier than ever because if you’re on social platforms, it gives people like these cool little digital soap boxes to stand on and point their finger at you and judge you. So you just can’t make a mistake. My gosh, what would happen?

Number six, what if your success makes your partner feel inadequate and they leave you? Oh. This one used to come up a lot with my clients. A lot. A lot, a lot.

Because there are plenty of relationships that may be slightly dysfunctional and codependent, and your partner makes more money than you. And that’s part of why you are together, because you kinda sorta need them to survive.

So what happens if you change all that and now you don’t need them? And then what happens how they feel about you? Because it makes them feel really insecure because suddenly your boss bitch. It’s a real thing, people.

I have had so many clients who literally that was at the root of why they would not play full out. That’s why they would not post consistently. That’s why when they had a good month, the next month, they would be flat.

It was literally because of that relationship thing that their partner made more money and they needed to rely on them. And if they made more money, it would change their entire relationship dynamics.

And they were not willing to do that because they were more and more invested in staying small and medium dependent on their partner in the relationship than they were committed to actually growing themselves personally, professionally, spiritually and financially, that they were more dedicated to their partner’s well-being and how they thought of them.

That is seriously messed up, but it is what happens and I was partially in that position too. I’m not going to lie like. When I started to really amplify myself online in my business. It brought up a lot of problems with me and my husband.

And you know, what would also happened, was it created a shift in our roles. And now I’m the breadwinner. My husband is basically retired. He’s living his best life as a farmer. And he kind of does like side work here and there when he feels like it. But like. I’m the breadwinner of the family now. But I used to not be. And it was significant of a shift, this big swing. So imagine what that did to our relationship. Fortunately, we’ve come through in a really positive position.

Now number seven, we have two more. What if your success puts you in a different financial situation and people begin asking you for money? Whoo hoo hoo! That is number seven.

What if you start being such a baller that people just are like, Oh, hey, Tracy and Edna and Cindy and Brandi, you have loads of money, so why can’t you give more to the PTA?

You should be able to give more to this charity. Or I need a handout because, you know I need a new car. You have money for a new car? Why don’t you? You being stingy. You have the money. You can afford it. I need a new house. I think of, like, the rock. And he’s like a gazillionaire. And he’s like. It seems like when I follow him, like, it seems like he’s always. Been another family member, another, like, mansion. It’s like, well, I mean, that’s his money. It’s your business.

But I think he also has the mindset like he wants to give back, but I’m sure is how they’re cousins and aunties coming out of the woodwork who are like, hey, you know, remember me. From when that time. Right?

Number eight. What if your taxes and health insurance go up? That is a sticker for me, too.

I know when I started making more money, I was in a low tax bracket and so I paid less for health insurance. And then suddenly things started to change and I was going gulp. And not only taxes and health insurance, but your bookkeeping costs go up, you know, like you’re going to have more transactions every month. This happened to me.

My bookkeeper reached out to me like a year or so ago, and she’s like, There is good news. Your business is growing. I’m so happy you’re having this exponential growth and like you’re doing the damn thing. You doing what you said you were going to do years ago when we first started working together. It’s so cool to watch you. Also now you’re in the highest bracket because you have so many transactions happening that we need to do more reconciliation. It’s going to take more time. So we have to up your charge.

It’s like, Oh. Okay, so it’s four times the price it was four years ago, which is a good thing. But I kind of wish that I wasn’t paying all that money right now. It is what it is, he said.

I’m kind of scared because if I’ll accumulate more debt. But you know what, Edna? You don’t have to be afraid of debt because here’s the thing about debt. You will always be able to make more money. You will always be able to make more money. And if you’re starting to really pay attention to the things I’m teaching you, you’ll have the strategies, you’ll have the intuition, you’ll have the connection to be able to make these sales no problem. So you can go, well, you know what? Maybe, maybe I had a slower month, but I have these different ways that I know I can generate money so I don’t have to panic and worry.

And I and I know that to be true because it’s happened for myself is like, you can come back to yourself to go, all right, so what are some ways that I can hit this unreasonable crazy-ass goal that I set up for myself? How can I innovate? How can I use my intuition? How can I lean into my soul, my client? How can I lean in and do some more research to see what people truly want for me? And I can take that hundred-dollar sale and suddenly turn it into a $300 sale. Whoa.

What would that do for me and my business?

And so, you know, debt is part of running a business, too. You know, when I started my business, I had debt, and today I have debt. So when I run Facebook ads. It’s a negative, right? Until the launch is over. And then all of a sudden, the money comes flowing back and I pay myself back. But, you know, it’s going to be that cycle and, you know, it will be okay. I hold retreats and every time I hold a retreat, I pay for the retreat house.

So that is a debt. But as soon as somebody joins that paid for the whole house, then I can invest in a chef and that is a debt. But as soon as another person joins, it pays for the chef. And I’m going to get gift bags. And I would have to invest in maybe hundreds or thousands of dollars in gift bags or other services or other extras or other activities. That’s a debt. And guess what? When people join, it pays for itself. And then I walk away as on top in the green, right. Or. The black, I should say. Right.

So I’m making money. But the first initial investment was a red, it was a debt, it was a minus, it was a, you know, deduction. So we have to understand that we can always make more money. We don’t have more time. So it’s important to use your time again. I’m going to say it again. You are the value. So if you are the most valuable asset in your company, you cannot afford to discount yourself. Okay. I hope that’s clear.

Included. Okay, great. Now, I just made a product here. Now you can buy it. Okay, great. I just bought it. That’s how easy it literally can be if you want it to be. And these are some of the ways that I had and do still grow my business. It’s a smart way to do it.
