In our 3rd episode of the Aligned & Unstoppable podcast, Emily talks with Dr. Shannon Irvine about the power of “Brain Priming”.  Dr. Shannon, a PhD. in Neuropsychology, is a successful Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Higher Achievement Mentor and host of the Epic Success Podcast.   • Most of us are taught from a young age that we need permission to take control of our future and that our ability comes from outside instead of inside out
  • Filter your subconscious thoughts with this one question: Does this thought get me closer or further away from who I want to be?
  • Brain Priming is a 2 part process (simultaneous):
    • Remove limiting beliefs (My Matrix Process)
    • Lay down pathway for very best vision & version of yourself
  • Your thoughts create your emotion & these combine to create your belief
    • This belief repeated over time creates your identity and your identity drives your decisions
  • Removing limiting beliefs (5 Steps)
    • 1st step is recognizing the limiting belief!
    • 2nd step is recording the limiting belief and reading it out loud to yourself!
    • 3rd step is refuting the lie & writing down truths about yourself!
    • 4th step is role playing – picking the person that means the most to you and imagining yourself projecting your limiting belief onto them (emotional)
    • 5th step is reverse priming – build a freeway in your brain to these new truths
  • As soon as you start feeling old, faulty thoughts resurface you read these truths to yourself and the old freeway of lies will crumble and disintegrate
  • Another exercise Dr. Shannon Irvine does is Vision Priming, which is seeing your vision as if it’s already done
  • Faulty programming affects individuals at every level of success, even highly successful entrepreneurs
  • You have control of your thoughts, don’t misuse it because it will manifest in disease, depression and illness
  • We control our own thoughts but we can’t control the thoughts of others – so we shouldn’t carry anxiety
  • The most successful people in the world are passionate about getting rid of the things that block them and they are unapologetic about the vision they have and when they get to that vision they create the next one
  • Find evidence that these lies that you have been believing aren’t true!
  • It takes 60-70 days to completely build a new neural network
