Happy Monday!
Something I get asked all the time is in regards to feeling light-headed, dizzy, or just spacey either going into meditation, while meditating, or coming out.
I have a very simple answer for WHY this is happening and a SIMPLE SOLUTION to help you out of that wonky head space!
WHY THIS HAPPENS: Typically the main reason why you’re getting a bit light-headed is because you’re beginning to tap into a higher vibration of energy (go you!). The higher you go, the less you’re energetically in your body. Don’t get freaked out, it’s nothing to be scared of.
Accessing higher frequencies is something that many people never get to experience. It means you’ve relaxed enough and allowed your energy system to expand. THIS is also where we allow deep levels of healing into our mind, body, and spirit! (go you again!)
When you’re meditating using one of my guided meditations from Mastery & Ascension, you’ll be opening up to a high frequency because they’re all channeled directly from source in addition, I’m adding energy healing, something you’ll ONLY FIND working with me!
Don’t take my word for it, here’s what Mastery & Ascension members are saying…
SIMPLE SOLUTION: Simply put, come out of your meditation sloooowly and ground yourself. If you’re being guided, and it’s going to fast, just hit pause, and go at your own pace. Take some nice long breaths and come back into your physical body but engaging muscles. Once you’re fully back, eyes open, have some water and go outside. Walking barefoot can really help you ground.
If you’re ready to join our growing community inside MASTERY & ASCENSION, simply CLICK HERE! We have daily conversations about meditation AND how we can use it specifically as a tool to grow our business.
This is INTENTIONAL MEDITATION, not just deep breathing to achieve the elusive “blank screen”!
I hope these tips helped, if you have more questions about how to meditate or you’re feeling like you’re doing it wrong, COMMENT BELOW, and let me know how I can help!

Hi Emily,
I just started meditation. After my 3rd or 4th session, the next day I woke up feeling off balance and dizziness. I’m hesitant to meditate again because I don’t want that feeling to return. Does this go away for most? if so, how long does it take? I really want to continue my meditations but don’t want side effects.
Your thoughts?
Carol
Hi Carol,
Feeling lightheaded is a sign you’re reaching HIGHER energy and consciousness. It’s far lighter than our physical dense body. That’s why you feel lightheaded or dizzy when you return after a particularly deep meditation…the best thing to do is ground yourself, go outside, get water, and rest.
Also, perhaps DON’T open your eyes until you’re fully back in your physical body. It’s like waking up in the morning if you open your eyes too fast it will have a similar effect. And if it’s still uncomfortable take the meditations in your earbuds on a walk, fully conscious versus sitting with closed eyes. Try it in different ways.

Hello Emily, I am just starting out meditating as well and I’m finding that I get dizzy and lightheaded almost right away, just 5 minutes after starting. I find the perfect sound to concentrate on and I start to feel like I’m getting in “The zone”, even start to feel a little detached from my body but then I have to bring myself out slowly because it gets so bad I start to get nauseous. How can I work past this? I can feel that I need this very badly.
Thank you in advance for any advice!
Kiza – you sound just like me! Although I have been meditating for years, this dizzy feeling is something new to me.! I want to continue, but get concerned that I am getting worse, so I stop it! Any info?

Hi Emily,
I am a reaching out to you as I am quite concerned about my mental health, I have had to take the week off from work as Monday night I done an intense vibrational frequency listen, following this I then decided to do a deep visualisation meditation……during the mediation I felt this force of energy rush over my whole body, I had a tingling sensation all the way from the front of my head to the back, and tingling all over my head in every which way, I had tingling in my hands and feet which seem to have subsided now, however it has been almost 5 days later now, and I feel totally spaced out still, I felt drunk driving my car, normally I am super tuned in and very alert to my surroundings but now I feel like I’m almost in slow motion sometimes. Should I be worried or is this normal during an awakening. I have been advised on seeing a kinesiologist but it is the weekend now and the lady hasn’t been very forthcoming. I just like some advice in where to turn to. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Kris,
Thank you for reaching out, I’m sorry to hear about what you’ve been dealing with during your awakening. I would suggest giving a listen here: https://emilyaarons.com/ep429-conquering-ascension-symptoms-navigating-personal-growth-and-self-care/
Hope this helps and that you feel better soon!

hello, i’ve been doing chakra meditation. during meditation everything that appears behind closed eyes vibrates. i keep feeling like i know what people are feeling and then i seen a lady who made me dizzy and want to vomit. are any of this related? also while meditating i feel free and amazing
Hi Amber! Thanks for listening to the chakra meditations. While I’m an outsider and cannot definitively interpret your experiences, I’d encourage you to, during your meditation, ask yourself these questions. While you’re in meditation as yourself or your guides, ‘Why am I feeling dizzy?’ or ‘What triggered these sensations with the woman I saw?’ Trust your intuition while you explore these questions. Thanks again Amber, hope this helps!
